The Lord chose Joseph,
الله إختار يوسف،
hinaϩⲓⲛⲁ entefarehⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲁ̀ⲣⲉϩ tiparthenos:ϯⲠⲁⲣⲑⲉⲛⲟⲥ:
with a heavenly sign,
لكيْ يحفظ العذراء،
khenϧⲉⲛ pefehiⲡⲉϥϩ̀ⲓ khenϧⲉⲛ hanmeeni:ϩⲁⲛⲙⲏⲛⲩ:
to take care of the Virgin,
في بيته،
enepouranion.ⲛ̀ⲉ̀ⲡⲟⲩⲣⲁⲛⲓⲟⲛ.
in his house.

++ AsowonhⲀⲥⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ ouchrompi:ⲟⲩϭⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ:
+ A dove appeared,
+ ظهرت حمامة،

and rested on his rod,
وإستقرت على عصاه،

so Zachariah the priest,
فأعطاها له،
enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ ZakhariasⲌⲁⲭⲁⲣⲓⲁⲥ pioweeb.ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲏⲃ.
gave her to him.

AfchisanisⲀϥϭⲓⲥⲁⲛⲓⲥ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ Yoseef:Ⲓⲱⲥⲏⲫ:
Joseph doubted,
شكَّ يوسف في بتوليتها،
khenϧⲉⲛ tesparthenia:ⲧⲉⲥⲡⲁⲣⲑⲉⲛⲓⲁ:
her virginity,
فأخبره الملاك،
o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ piangelosⲡⲓⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ afgosⲁϥϫⲟⲥ naf:ⲛⲁϥ:
the angel announced to him,
قائلاً "يا يوسف،
jeϫⲉ YoseefⲒⲱⲥⲏⲫ epsheeriⲡ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ endavid.ⲛ̀Ⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ.
"O Joseph son of David.
يا إبن داود.
++ EmpererhotiⲘ̀ⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣϩⲟϯ eshep:ⲉ̀ϣⲉⲡ:
+ Do not fear,
+ لا تخف أن تأخذ،
MariaⲘⲁⲣⲓⲁ tekeshimiⲧⲉⲕⲥ̀ϩⲓⲙⲓ erok:ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲕ:
to take Mary as your wife,
مريم إمرأتك،
feeⲫⲏ gharⲅⲁⲣ etasnamasf:ⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲥⲛⲁⲙⲁⲥϥ:
for the One whom she bears,
لأن الذي حبل به فيها،
ouⲟⲩ evolkhenⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗϧⲉⲛ ou-epnevmaⲟⲩⲠ̀ⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁ ethowabⲉ̅ⲑ̅ⲩ̅ pe.ⲡⲉ.
is of the Holy Spirit."
هو من الروح القدس."
MariamⲘⲁⲣⲓⲁⲙ peⲡⲉ pi-aho:ⲡⲓⲁ̀ϩⲟ:
Mary is the treasure,
مريم هي الكنز،

that Joseph brought,
الذي إشتراه يوسف،
afjemⲁϥϫⲉⲙ pimargharitees:ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲣⲅⲁⲣⲓⲧⲏⲥ:
and he found the jewel,
فوجد الجوهر،
efheepⲉϥϩⲏⲡ khenϧⲉⲛ tefneeti.ⲧⲉϥⲛⲏϯ.
that was hidden within.
مخفي في وسطه.

+ Joseph the righteous came,
+ جاء يوسف الصديق،
nemⲛⲉⲙ MariaⲘⲁⲣⲓⲁ EthmavⲐ̀ⲙⲁⲩ empi-ekhristos:ⲙ̀Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅:
with Mary the Mother of Christ,
مع مريم أم المسيح،
avthamioⲁⲩⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ emepgokⲙ̀ⲡ̀ϫⲱⲕ empinomos:ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲚⲟⲙⲟⲥ:
fulfilling the Law for the sake,
وصنعا إتمام الناموس،
ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ pi-alouⲡⲓⲀ̀ⲗⲟⲩ ensoteerⲛ̀Ⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ Ieesous.Ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ.
of the Child the Savior Jesus.

ويوسف وسالومى،

were greatly amazed,
تعجبوا جداً،

with what they saw.

Abba Joseph the righteous,
