The first holy martyr,
الشهيد الأول القديس،
etafgokⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥϫⲱⲕ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ enkalos:ⲛ̀ⲕⲁⲗⲱⲥ:
who was well perfected,
الذي كمَّل حسناً،
khenϧⲉⲛ pitoouⲡⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Shiheet:Ϣⲓϩⲏⲧ:
on the mountain of Shiheet,
في جبل شيهيت،
peⲡⲉ peniotⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ ethowabⲉ̅ⲑ̅ⲩ̅ abbaⲁⲃⲃⲁ Mosee.Ⲙⲱⲥⲏ.
is our holy father Abba Moses.
هو أبونا القديس أنبا موسى.

+ He became a fighter,
+ لأنه صار مُحارباً،

whom the demons fear,
مَخُوفاً ضد الشياطين،
afohiⲁϥⲟ̀ϩⲓ eratfⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ hijenϩⲓϫⲉⲛ tipetra:ϯⲡⲉⲧⲣⲁ:
he stood upon the rock,
ووقف على الصخرة،
kataⲕⲁⲧⲁ eptiposⲡ̀ⲧⲩⲡⲟⲥ empi-estavros.ⲙ̀Ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲥ.
as a symbol of the Cross.
كمثال الصليب.

Through his great patience,
بعِظَم صبره،
nemⲛⲉⲙ pikhisiⲡⲓϧⲓⲥⲓ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ nivasanos:ⲛⲓⲃⲁⲥⲁⲛⲟⲥ:
in the travails of his sufferings,
وتعب العذابات،

he wore the crown,
لبس الإكليل،

of martyrdom.
الذي للشهادة.

to His places of rest,
إلى مواضع النياح،
etafsevtotouⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥⲥⲉⲃⲧⲱⲧⲟⲩ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ Epshois:Ⲡ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅:
which the Lord has prepared,
التي أعدها الرب،
ennee-ethmeiⲛ̀ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲙⲉⲓ empefranⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲣⲁⲛ ethowab.ⲉ̅ⲑ̅ⲩ̅.
for those who love His holy name.
لمحبي إسمه القدوس.
AfsogpⲀϥⲥⲱϫⲡ nanⲛⲁⲛ empefsoma:ⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲥⲱⲙⲁ:
He left for us his holy body,
وأبقى لنا جسده،
nemⲛⲉⲙ pefespeeleonⲡⲉϥⲥ̀ⲡⲏⲗⲉⲟⲛ ethowab:ⲉ̅ⲑ̅ⲩ̅:
and his holy cave,
ومغارته المقدسة،
ethrengokⲉⲑⲣⲉⲛϫⲱⲕ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ enkheetf:ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧϥ:
that we may complete in it,
لنكمل فيها،
empeferefmeviⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲉⲣⲫ̀ⲙⲉⲩⲓ ettai-eeout.ⲉⲧⲧⲁⲓⲏ̀ⲟⲩⲧ.
his honored memorial.

+ Proclaiming and saying,
+ إذ نصرخ قائلين،

“O God of Abba Moses,
"يا إله أنبا موسى،
nemⲛⲉⲙ nee-etavgokⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲩϫⲱⲕ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ nemaf:ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ:
and those who were perfected with him,
والذين كملوا معه،
ariounaiⲁ̀ⲣⲓⲟⲩⲛⲁⲓ nemⲛⲉⲙ nenpsishee.ⲛⲉⲛⲯⲩⲭⲏ.
have mercy upon our souls.”
إصنع رحمة مع نفوسنا."

That we may win the promises,
ونفوز بالمواعيد،

which He has prepared for the saints,
المُعدة للقديسين،
etavranafⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲣⲁⲛⲁϥ isjenⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ epeneh:ⲡ̀ⲉ̀ⲛⲉϩ:
who have pleased Him since the beginning,
الذين أرضوه منذ البدء،
ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ towaghapeeⲧⲟⲩⲁ̀ⲅⲁⲡⲏ ekhounⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ erof.ⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ.
because of their love for Him.
لأجل حُبهم فيه.

O my master and father Abba Moses,
يا سيدي الآب أنبا موسى،
nemⲛⲉⲙ nefsheeriⲛⲉϥϣⲏⲣⲓ enestavroforos:ⲛ̀ⲥ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲣⲟⲫⲟⲣⲟⲥ:
and his children the cross-bearers,
وأولاده لُباس الصليب،

that He may forgive us our sins.
