  I believe your issue should enroll your university advisor in the process.  I believe there are academic hearings that may be arranged where one may argue their case and present evidence. 
  
  I think that greater credence would be given if there was a medical doctor attributable in your situation and not just a psychologist (a psychiatrist would qualify as a hybrid of both therapeutic interventions that would be necessary and available).
