A MUST READ!

    can we get back to the stories? look at us using computers to argue when people cant even afford hot water.... i think we need to grow up a little and focus on what God has granted us, and how to thank him

  • Remember the story of the Good Samaritan? The first two probably talked about injustice, the poor, etc. but only the Samaritan when he found one went out of his way to aid him. I think the point is not to lament over them, but to be the open Hands and Arms of God, and reach out to the ones God allows to cross our path. And perhaps, some will be instilled the charitable spirit to go on to do Missions.

    Charity is a fruit of the Spirit. We cannot attain it by guilt, but through fasting and prayer.

  • I am not substatiating it, nor criticising it per se; just saying we have to be genuine in the way we try to God's will. Not everyone is going to visit orphans AND visit the elderly AND the oppressed AND the widows AND feed the poor AND fight for justice AND take blood donations AND give blood and organs AND

    Were the Saints who lived an ascetic life people who had no charity? No. They were real to the will of God for them.
