    Maybe you're talking about the other Church in Staten Island, Archangel Michael and St. Mena.  They have one of those elevated box-type areas, where the priest can give the sermon, like they do in some of the old churches in Egypt.  I dont remember what it is called either. Yeah, you do take stairs to reach it.

    im from st.mary church (cathedral) vienna, and st. mark church also in vienna...we also have a monastary (st. antony) which has 3 altars i guess (st.bishoy, st. antony and abu sefen), and many other churches in austria...
    is there anybody else from austria???

    I'm from Archangel Michael and St Bishoy Coptic Orthodox Church in Sydney (also St Mary & St Steven [English Church] but mainly known as Archangel Michael and St Bishoy, there's another altar but I'm not sure who's it is..) We have 4 Amazing priests; Fr Antonious, Fr Botros, Fr Bishoy & Fr Gabriel and 2 beautiful deconesses; Tasony (sister) Erini and Tasony Mary. :D:D AND PROUD :D:D hehe.
