1. you can set the place of the downloaded mp3 file on the actual USB instead of places like desktop, downloads, etc.
2. You can manually "drag" the mp3 from the downloads or desktop or where you have it on the computer and into the USB file on the desktop.
3. I am not sure what software you use but you can double click or left click in the USB folder and add the file, and then you can choose the location of the mp3 and select that file.
