"[Mary Magdalene] came to the tomb / on the first day of the week / seeking earnestly / the Resurrection of the Lord" -Sunday Theotokia Additions
This is probably a silly question but did the women come seeking the Resurrection? If they were looking for It, would they not have rejoiced when they found that Christ was not in the tomb? Kf Mary Magdalene had known that the Lord would rise, why bring the spices and oil?
