I wish I could have an idea how far I am from the kingdom so I can struggle

38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.

How do I know if I have suffered enough or I am trained enough to bear suffering ?

    We are always either getting closer or farther from God- we are never just "standing still." Therefore, always be striving to carry your cross, because you don't know whether you've carried it or not. And because of my first sentence, the second you say "I'm fine, I've done enough," you start getting farther from God.
    We just had this question on a retreat and I'm just regurgitating what I heard from Abouna.
