Old Testament Commentary
I am trying to find a book for my friend that explains the old testament, sort of like a guide or commentary, while reading the Bible. He is having trouble understanding or finding meaning in many of the books of the Old testament so I am trying to find this book for him (and myself). Does such a book exist? I know there are many books on just one book of the bible but I am looking for one book with everything. Thank You!

The only Orthodox commentary I am aware of that covers the entire Old Testament in one book is the Orthodox Study Bible, which is now available for purchase as an ebook: http://www.amazon.com/The-Orthodox-Study-Bible-ebook/dp/B000XPNVFI
The commentaries are provided in footnotes and so are not very comprehensive, but they are helpful guides nonetheless.
God bless you.
