What if you had to work with them?

edited December 1969 in Faith Issues
The Psalmist said:

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,

But what if you had to work with them?

What do you do??

What if you had to live with them? If they were your neighbors?? Your school teachers??

It seems that the only way to live in any kind of Holiness would be to become a monk and live in the desert, in solitude.

  • Holiness is found within us. It is a complete devotion to God.  If we are holy then we are not affected by the sin of those around us.

However, will we not be tempted??
  • Temptations will not shake me once God lives in my heart. One of the famous quotes by a Church father was "Make it your goal to live in the world, but to prevent it from living in you."
  • If we are pure and determined, we will not be influenced by sinners.

  • I Have posted this to my headboard:
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
