Feasts overriding other Feasts?

edited December 1969 in Hymns Discussion
This tuesday is the 29th of Touba which is the feast of the Annunciation, Nativity and Resurrection. It is also Jonah's fast. Lazarus Saturday is teh same day as the feast of the Annunciation this year.

Which rites would we follow in cases like these. What if the calendar shifted one day and Palm Sunday and the Annunciation where on the same day? They are two different feasts with different tunes and hymns yet they are equal in that they are both Major Feasts.

The feast on the 29th only counts from baramhat (annunciation) to kiahk (nativity) the period of st Mary's pregnancy.

The feast of annunciation is not celebrated if it falls from the last Friday of lent to the second day after easter, so actually it will not be celebrated this year.
  • the feast, the 29th of every month, is not celebrated from the time of the Nativity til the Resurrection. The feast of Annunciation is celebrated though as separate feast (and not like the 29th of every month) EXCEPT if it falls on of days of holy week.
