  it really depends on your motives.
  are you spending on yourself instead of others?
  are you planning to share the knowledge or give the books to others when you have read them?
  do you want lots of knowledge because you are proud?
  
  if your motives are ok (you and God should be able to examine that, and if any problems ask your confession father), then it is ok.
  remember you still need to find time to work/study and actually develop your spiritual life (pray, read the Bible, go to church etc.) and spend time with family/friends, not just read books.
  
  i often doubt my own motives, so i try not to buy too much! i love Christian books  :)
