well the coptic of it is the normal coptic prophesy tune......but arabic, there is always more than one way.
Very strange: one example of every one doing what they like
[coptic]kejac de aimei `mpaiy,oc[/coptic]
Anyway, I liked that tune

it's the one in the link posted before on coptichymns.net.
Do you mean by "coptichyms.net link" the one posted by SilentOne or by Taishori?
The priest at our church sang it the same way as the one SilentOne put up. It's curious to hear other ways of saying it too.
I guess, if it wasn't for the internet, I wouldn't have ever known.
Which is the coptic prophesy tune though?
Peace.
I tried to listen to the link that you gave me and compare it to the 1 from Taishory (thanks Taishory). It sounds different.
Can I assume that the lamentations of Jeremiah can be said in a variety of tunes, but if it's read in Coptic, it's in the prophecies tune? Is that right?
Thanks
GB,
Abanoub
can anyone send me a recording of it in Arabic please.
GB,
Abanoub
This one is by Abouna Boutros (hence the Gregorian mass like tune)
