Homosexuals

Hello so in the COC we believe that homosexuality is wrong. Now the people who say they are born gay I don't believe because I heard from somewhere that a person does not have sexuality before they are the age of five. Now what I want to know is that some people are saying homosexuals have certain physical charateristics especially in men like better diction when speaking the s's are very dictated and how they their tone of speak so what im asking is how do we explain that?

  • i see many homosexuals, almost on a daily basis (hospital) and yes many of them talk different, act different and look different and there are many possible reasons. when you are homosexual you basically give up your manhood for your passions and desires. homosexuals, i believe, desire to be women, why else would they have intercourse with the same sex? their desire to be a woman is what makes them look, act, and sound different then typical males but in all fairness i think lots of men struggle with this particular sin, especially this day in age when pornography runs rampant, which completely distorts sex and act as a drug, making the user search for something harder and more perverse. i am sorry to ramble, i hope this answers your question tho.
  • Here are some great posts about Homosexuality and our Orthodox Church:

awesome. actually that was said my Anba Mousa, the bishop of the youth with his great smile and fun comments.
  • this is how i explain that....i really don't think their "diction" has anything to do with the sexuality they choose.
If anything, it's an aquired charateristic trait; i have friends that like to ...uh how do i put this...like to "pretend to be gay" and they act out the actions and speech and such, it's just known that that is how "gay" people act and...if you convince yourself you're gay, you're most likely going to try and act the part.  If you hang out with British people, you're going to develop a British accent, another example: an intelligent person speaks intelligently, not because they were born like that, but it develops and they act the part. ... does that make sense?
