Ethiopia?

Anyone connected with Copts in Ethiopia?

I've applied for a two week post there at the end of this summer, teaching advanced translation theory and textual criticism to Bible translators on the field.  Apparently there are a good number of local tribes there who don't have a Bible in their own language.

I'm assuming that there is some kind of connection between the Coptic church and the Church in Ethiopia, or that there might be a Coptic population in Ethiopia.

Also, if anyone has relatives who can provide low cost tours.... :D

  • The Coptic and the Ethiopian Churches are sister churches.
They both share the same theological positions, and have a very close relationship, that was recently strained, but now thanks to the Grace of God has returned almost to its original form.
