It will be in the Annual tone.
  • The rite is FESTIVE. Ekhrestos anysti is said as the processional hymn.
  • It is definitely festive
  • I was told that in the 50 days a funeral service is in the annual tone, and this was how it was done at my grandpa's
  • Just came out of funeral prayer an hour ago...festive tunes throughout, annual Agios, Pi'Ekhristos Aftonf in relevant areas, and coffin procession to Ekhristos Anesti
    RIP beloved of the Lord.
  • NOTHING takes away from us the joy of the Resurrection.
  • Thanks guys,

are the readings the same? just in annual tune.
  • Readings are the same....i think. the exposition is also the same, except it's said in Chi-o-oinee tune. EVERYTHING FESTIVE.
  • c_hope, may God reposed yr loved one and comfort all who mourn.
    Christ is risen.
