New Year's Day vs. Kiahk Hymns
Peace be with all,
In terms of the hymns, what do we sing on the New Year (i.e. January 1)? Do we chant the hymns for the Coptic New Year, for Kiahk, or both in terms of the Praxis Response, Psalm Response, Gospel Response, Communion Hymns, and Conclusion?

I don't believe we chant anything special for Jan 1. Its a seculiar holiday. Just straight kiahk hymns.
I was thinking that originally. But I remember last year my church did sing "Esmou epieklom" a couple of times. So...I'm not sure.
