ok i have a question my friend continues to play this game called quake three and it hasa few satanic references my friend is also coptic and egy but he believes this is ok as long as he duznt take it seriously and he is considering buying this game and i continue to tel him that i think its wrong and he is giving money to ppl who openly declare and approve of the devil and he continues to say hes not crazy about the subject matter but enjoys playing the game i keep telling him that this is wrong and christ would not apprrove so what are your guys 's thoughts

    woa, well the game itself is one thing and the paying people money thing is another..Playing the game doesn't always mean you approve of it although it's better that you do not. Paying people money for approving of the devil is just..weird. It's definitely wrong to pay people for "approving" of the devil. Although I'm not quite sure what you mean by approve the devil. Can you clarify that a bit?

    well if the game has increasing demonic refernces tehn buy buying it he is giving the company who inserted the demonic references money and by doing this he is giving ppl who support the devil monbey

    Although I understand what you mean, I'd like to hear a little more about the game before I can say anything. Most video games that are out are violent and provoke bad messages, but they're so much fun. I myself love all the GTA games, but I wouldn't go out stealing cars and working for gangs. It's just fun. It really depends on the person. Some people get effected by that stuff and some don't. For example, if you were to hang out with people who curse all the time, it might have an impact on you and you might see yourself cursing, because you're so used to it, or it might bother you so much that you never do it. It really depends on who you are. You know him better than all of us though, and if you think it will have an effect on him then pray for him, and try to talk him out of buying it. There are other video games that he can play!

    well i mean its not just liek gta liek i play the gta games but it has direct references liek pentagrams and stuff so thats why hes liek if i gnore it its cool
    and im lik eif u dunt play it its better so.....

    I think the producers of the original Quake game were avowed Devil worshippers...I'm not 100% sure though.If they were or are devil worshippers I dont think you should support their company by purchasing Quake.There's a ton of other great first-person shooters out there! Find one that doesnt glorify Satan!

    guys come on its just a game if your mature to not let it impact your life
    that you should consider buying it(thats why the game is even rated mature)

    Thats not the point! No ones denying that the game is probably pretty good.Just because its good or fun doesnt make it right.Having sex is pretty "fun" but ouside of marriage its just plain wrong.There are many things that are "fun" yet they are sinful and against Gods will.If you support a company that worships the Devil then you participate in their sin.Dont use the excuse "its only a game,it's so fun".Thats the lie of Satan.The same lie he told Adam and Eve in the garden.
    Some people may think little things like the games you play,the books you read,the television you watch,etc are insignificent and wont affect your spiritual life.There just harmless forms of recreation and entertainment.O how wrong you are.Dont you know that what you "feed" your mind and soul directly affects your spiritual state?If you allow demonic garbage into your life you will bear fruit accordingly.Allow pornography into your life and see what happens.Watch alot of shows with bad language and see if that doesnt affect your personal speech.Allow games that focus on Demons and Hell and see what happens in your life.You may think your immune to its subtle effects but in reality your not.These little seeds of Satan will bear fruit at a later date,when you least expect it.

    i've never heard of that game...but anywayz i think u said something about the devil..i don't think its that big of a deal right now...its just a game..i don't think u should start worring until he starts worshiping the game(which i doubt).

    Its not about worshipping the game...lol...It's about participating in a game that promotes the Devil,that constantly bombards your mind with images of demons,Hell,pentagrams and other Satanic symbols.You dont put a poster on your wall that has Satanic images,do you.Of course you dont!You know that would be wrong! Yet many people think the same images are "harmless" when playing a video game.The Lord Jesus commanded us to be careful in what we hear,read,etc. When we expose ourselves to games with Satanic influence we open ourselves to demonic activity.God will protect us from all harm but if we willingly open a "door" for Satan to enter then we have only ourselves to blame.A person who plays with fire is likely to be burned.


    I think the youth of this generation underestimate the subtle,pervasive influence that Satan exerts in todays music,television,gaming culture.What appears as a little harmless fun is in reality an insideous attempt by the forces of evil to influence and corrupt the minds of unsuspecting youth.It doesnt take much.A thought here.An image there.A seed planted will one day bear fruit.Especially if it is exposed daily to the elemental influences that sustain and cause its growth.

    I also think many of us try and compartmentalize our lives.We try to separate the spiritual from the mundane.This part of our life is spiritual dedicated to God while another part is dedicated to self and pleasure;a component of our life not under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.After all we say"its just a little harmless fun.It has nothing to do with our life in God".These same people fail to understand that our WHOLE life belongs to God.Every action,every thought,every word.Whatever we do we are to do "for the glory of God".There is no separation between spiritual life and ordinary,secular life.We cant participate in darkness one moment and then expect to walk in the fellowship of Light the next.

    Hello I love Wrestling Games.. they are the most fun games to me do u think I should quit that too? All the fighting is acting ... but I think the whole videogame industry and all media is dedicated to satan.

    I really hope u say no but whats right is right.

    hey i think that they were just saying that this Quake game has direct references to satan, and is run by a company that worships satan, so stop dealing with the company and playing the game, but i dunt think its refered to all video games am i right..prolly not who knows maybe i will get it right once then we can throw a party! a christian party! yay i like that idea...humm how bout we make a videogame out of it ?? :) lol k its late sorry!

    I don't really see anything wrong with video games unless they make an impact on you. If buying the game supports those who support the devil then I believe it's wrong because we shouldn't encourage our brethren to remain on the wrong path even if that game is the greatest. It's hard to know what kind of people make a game though so I guess it's not that big of a deal. I really doubt the makers of a game like Mario had demonic intentions. God bless.

    Your exactly right SaviorOfMySoul{as usual...lol}.I dont believe all video games are bad,just those that glorify Satan and contain Satanic images.I also dont think a person should buy a game from a company that honors and worships Satan{I once bought a game where the producers gave "thanks" to Satan for helping them produce their game...I had to throw the game away...lol ;D}.

    They actually did make a game for the PC called"Europa 1400:The Guild" where you took the role of a priest and had to run the church and all of its properties.It was a pretty good game...lol...Theres quite a few "sim" games where you take control of an ancient civilization and have to develop their economy,etc.I actually picked up "Immortal Cities:Children of the Nile" the other day.Its a very fun game.And its about Eygptians...lol...it cant get much better than that can it... ;)

    It was a PC strategy game that came out several years ago called "Dominion storm" or something like that...lol...It was by Ion Storm Studios and produced by John Romero.I think John Romero was one of the original developers of Doom and Quake.Alot of those guys are proffessed Devil worshipers.One company connected with them G.O.D Games{pretty blasphemous name isnt it}actually bought a church and turned it into their studio holding all kind of parties,etc.Defiling the church property.So you see some of these guys are pretty bad dudes who openly worship the Devil.

LIFE IS LIFE.... its plain stupid if you mix both... and no one should... just like drinking, its fun... but you have to wait till you are of age, or its just wrong.... and will take over your life.... same with the games, if you are of age to play the game.... go ahead... but still dont let it take over your life.

    I was refering to a "sim" type game.Not the stupid series known as the Sims.The games I'm refering to are about ancient cultures{Greece,China,Eygpt}where you take contol of every aspect of their society.You start with a small village and build up to a large empire.These games are extremely educational,fun,and exciting.Im not talking about those silly games where you try to have some kind of " virtual life".
