Now when they drew near Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them,
وَلَمَّا قَرُبُوا مِنْ أورُشَليم وَجَاءُوا إِلَى بَيْتِ فَاجِي عِنْدَ جَبَلِ الزَّيْتُونِ، حِينَئِذٍ أَرْسَلَ يَسُوعُ تِلْمِيذَيْنِ قَائِلاً لَهُمَا:
EfgoⲈϥϫⲱ emmosⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ noouⲛⲱⲟⲩ jeϫⲉ mashenotenⲙⲁϣⲉⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ epaitimiⲉ̀ⲡⲁⲓϯⲙⲓ etkeeⲉⲧⲭⲏ empetenemthoⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲙ̀ⲑⲟ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ eretenejimiⲉ̀ⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲉ̀ϫⲓⲙⲓ enowe-oⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲉ̀ⲱ̀ essonhⲉⲥⲥⲟⲛϩ nemⲛⲉⲙ ouseegⲟⲩⲥⲏϫ nemasⲛⲉⲙⲁⲥ volouⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩ anitouⲁ̀ⲛⲓⲧⲟⲩ nee.ⲛⲏⲓ.
“Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me.
«اِذْهَبَا إِلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي أَمَامَكُمَا، فَلِلْوَقْتِ تَجِدَانِ آتانا مَرْبُوطَةً وَجَحْشًا مَعَهَا، فَحُّلاَهُمَا وَأْتِيَاني بِهِمَا.
AreshanⲀ̀ⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ o-waiⲟⲩⲁⲓ theⲇⲉ sajiⲥⲁϫⲓ nemotenⲛⲉⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ agosⲁ̀ϫⲟⲥ jeϫⲉ EpshoisⲠ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ peterekhri-aⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲭ̀ⲣⲓⲁ̀ emmoouⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ efnaoworpouϥ̀ⲛⲁⲟⲩⲟⲣⲡⲟⲩ theⲇⲉ satotf.ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ.
And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them.”
وَإِنْ قَالَ لَكُمَا أَحَدٌ شَيْئًا، فَقُولاَ: الرَّبُّ مُحْتَاجٌ إِلَيْهِمَا. فَلِلْوَقْتِ يُرْسِلُهُمَا».
FaiⲪⲁⲓ theⲇⲉ fshopiϥϣⲱⲡⲓ hinaϩⲓⲛⲁ entefgokⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥϫⲱⲕ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ fee-etafgofⲫⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥϫⲟϥ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ hitotfϩⲓⲧⲟⲧϥ empi-eprofeeteesⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ efgoⲉϥϫⲱ emmos.ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ.
All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying:
فَكَانَ هذَا كُلُّهُ لِكَيْ يَتِمَّ مَا قِيلَ بِالنَّبِيِّ الْقَائِلِ:
JeϪⲉ agosⲁ̀ϫⲟⲥ enetsheriⲛ̀ⲧ̀ϣⲉⲣⲓ ensionⲛ̀Ⲥⲓⲱⲛ jeϫⲉ heeppeϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ isⲓⲥ PeouroⲠⲉⲟⲩⲣⲟ efneeouϥ̀ⲛⲏⲟⲩ neⲛⲉ eouremravshⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲉⲙⲣⲁⲩϣ peⲡⲉ eftaleeoutⲉϥⲧⲁⲗⲏⲟⲩⲧ eowe-oⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲉ̀ⲱ̀ nemⲛⲉⲙ ouseegⲟⲩⲥⲏϫ epsheeriⲡ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ enowe-o.ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲉ̀ⲱ̀.
“Tell the daughter of Zion, ‘Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.’”
«قُولُوا لابْنَةِ صِهْيَوْنَ: هُوَذَا مَلِكُكِ يَأْتِيكِ وَدِيعًا، رَاكِبًا عَلَى آتان وَجَحْشٍ ابْنِ آتان».
EtavshenoouⲈ̀ⲧⲁⲩϣⲉⲛⲱⲟⲩ theⲇⲉ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ nefmatheeteesⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ etaviriⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲓ̀ⲣⲓ kataⲕⲁⲧⲁ efreetiⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ etaⲉ̀ⲧⲁ IeesousⲒⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ o-ahsahniⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ noou.ⲛⲱⲟⲩ.
So the Disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them.
فَذَهَبَ التِّلْمِيذَانِ وَفَعَلاَ كَمَا أَمَرَهُمَا يَسُوعُ، وَأَتَيَا بِالآتان وَالْجَحْشِ، وَوَضَعَا عَلَيْهِمَا ثِيَابَهُمَا فَجَلَسَ عَلَيْهِمَا.
AviniⲀⲩⲓ̀ⲛⲓ enti-e-oⲛ̀ϯⲉ̀ⲱ̀ nemⲛⲉⲙ piseegⲡⲓⲥⲏϫ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ avtaloⲁⲩⲧⲁⲗⲟ ennou-ehvosⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩϩ̀ⲃⲱⲥ eroouⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ avethrefhemsiⲁⲩⲑ̀ⲣⲉϥϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ sa-epshoiⲥⲁⲡ̀ϣⲱⲓ emmoou.ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ.
They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them.
وَالْجَمْعُ الأَكْثَرُ فَرَشُوا ثِيَابَهُمْ فِي الطَّرِيقِ.
EphowoⲠ̀ϩⲟⲩⲟ̀ theⲇⲉ ennimeeshⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲙⲏϣ avforshⲁⲩⲫⲱⲣϣ ennou-ehvosⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩϩ̀ⲃⲱⲥ hiϩⲓ pimoitⲡⲓⲙⲱⲓⲧ hankekoouniϩⲁⲛⲕⲉⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ theⲇⲉ avkorgⲁⲩⲕⲱⲣϫ enhangalⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛϫⲁⲗ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ hiϩⲓ ni-eshsheenⲛⲓϣ̀ϣⲏⲛ avforshouⲁⲩⲫⲟⲣϣⲟⲩ hiϩⲓ pimoit.ⲡⲓⲙⲱⲓⲧ.
And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
وَآخَرُونَ قَطَعُوا أَغْصَانًا مِنَ الشَّجَرِ وَفَرَشُوهَا فِي الطَّرِيقِ.
NimeeshⲚⲓⲙⲏϣ theⲇⲉ enavmoshiⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ khagofϧⲁϫⲱϥ nemⲛⲉⲙ nee-enavmoshiⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ensofⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ navoshⲛⲁⲩⲱϣ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ evgoⲉⲩϫⲱ emmosⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ jeϫⲉ osannaⲱ̀ⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ EpsheeriⲠ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ endavidⲛ̀Ⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ efesmarooutϥ̀ⲥ̀ⲙⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩⲧ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ pethneeouⲡⲉⲑⲛⲏⲟⲩ khenϧⲉⲛ efranⲫ̀ⲣⲁⲛ emepshoisⲙ̀Ⲡ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ osannaⲱ̀ⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ khenϧⲉⲛ nee-etchosi.ⲛⲏⲉⲧϭⲟⲥⲓ.
Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!”
وَالْجُمُوعُ الَّذِينَ تَقَدَّمُوا وَالَّذِينَ تَبِعُوا كَانُوا يَصْرَخُونَ قَائِلِينَ: «أُوصَنَّا لابْنِ دَاوُدَ! مُبَارَكٌ الآتِي بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ! أُوصَنَّا فِي الأَعَالِي!».
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ etafiⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥⲓ̀ ekhounⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ eyerousaleemⲉ̀Ⲓⲉⲣⲟⲩⲥⲁⲗⲏⲙ esmonmenⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲛⲙⲉⲛ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ tivakiϯⲃⲁⲕⲓ teersⲧⲏⲣⲥ evgoⲉⲩϫⲱ emmosⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ jeϫⲉ nimⲛⲓⲙ peⲡⲉ fai.ⲫⲁⲓ.
And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved,
وَلَمَّا دَخَلَ أورُشَليم ارْتَجَّتِ الْمَدِينَةُ كُلُّهَا قَائِلَةً:
NimeeshⲚⲓⲙⲏϣ theⲇⲉ navgoⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ emmosⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ jeϫⲉ faiⲫⲁⲓ peⲡⲉ pi-eprofeeteesⲡⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ IeesousⲒⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ PiremnazarethⲠⲓⲣⲉⲙⲛⲁⲍⲁⲣⲉⲑ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Tighalile-a.Ϯⲅⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉⲁ̀.
saying, “Who is this?” So the multitudes said, “This is Jesus,
«مَنْ هذَا؟» فَقَالَتِ الْجُمُوعُ: «هذَا يَسُوعُ النَّبِيُّ الَّذِي مِنْ نَاصِرَةِ الْجَلِيلِ».
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ afshenafⲁϥϣⲉⲛⲁϥ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ IeesousⲒⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ekhounⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ epierfeiⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ afhiouiⲁϥϩⲓⲟⲩⲓ̀ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ enowonⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲟⲛ nivenⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ evtiⲉⲩϯ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ pierfeiⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ nemⲛⲉⲙ nee-etshopⲛⲏⲉⲧϣⲱⲡ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ ni-etrapezaⲛⲓⲧ̀ⲣⲁⲡⲉⲍⲁ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ nireferkermaⲛⲓⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲕⲉⲣⲙⲁ affongouⲁϥⲫⲟⲛϫⲟⲩ nemⲛⲉⲙ nikathethraⲛⲓⲕⲁⲑⲉⲇⲣⲁ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ nee-ettiⲛⲏⲉⲧϯ chrompiϭⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ evol.ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ.
the prophet from Nazareth of Galilee.” Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
وَدَخَلَ يَسُوعُ إِلَى هَيْكَلِ اللهِ وَأَخْرَجَ جَمِيعَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا يَبِيعُونَ وَيَشْتَرُونَ فِي الْهَيْكَلِ، وَقَلَبَ مَوَائِدَ الصَّيَارِفَةِ وَكَرَاسِيَّ بَاعَةِ الْحَمَامِ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «مَكْتُوبٌ: بَيْتِي بَيْتَ الصَّلاَةِ يُدْعَى.
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ pegafⲡⲉϫⲁϥ noouⲛⲱⲟⲩ eseskheeoutⲉⲥⲥ̀ϧⲏⲟⲩⲧ jeϫⲉ paeeⲡⲁⲏⲓ evemoutiⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲙⲟⲩϯ erofⲉ̀ⲣⲟϥ jeϫⲉ o-eeⲟⲩⲏⲓ emeprosevsheeⲙ̀ⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ enthotenⲛ̀ⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ theⲇⲉ teteniriⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲓ̀ⲣⲓ emmofⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ emma-enkhopⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲛ̀ⲭⲱⲡ ensoni.ⲛ̀ⲥⲟⲛⲓ.
And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’”
وَأَنْتُمْ جَعَلْتُمُوهُ مَغَارَةَ لُصُوصٍ!»
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ etaviⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲓ̀ harofϩⲁⲣⲟϥ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ hanvellevϩⲁⲛⲃⲉⲗⲗⲉⲩ nemⲛⲉⲙ hanchalevϩⲁⲛϭⲁⲗⲉⲩ khenϧⲉⲛ pierfeiⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ aferfakhriⲁϥⲉⲣⲫⲁϧⲣⲓ eroou.ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ.
Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.
وَتَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ عُمْيٌ وَعُرْجٌ فِي الْهَيْكَلِ فَشَفَاهُمْ.
EtavnavⲈ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ theⲇⲉ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ niarshee-erevsⲛⲓⲁⲣⲭⲏⲉ̀ⲣⲉⲩⲥ nemⲛⲉⲙ nisakhⲛⲓⲥⲁϧ eni-eshfeeriⲉ̀ⲛⲓϣ̀ⲫⲏⲣⲓ etafaitouⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥⲁⲓⲧⲟⲩ nemⲛⲉⲙ ni-aloouiⲛⲓⲁ̀ⲗⲱⲟⲩⲓ̀ etoshⲉⲧⲱϣ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ pierfeiⲡⲓⲉⲣⲫⲉⲓ evgoⲉⲩϫⲱ emmosⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ jeϫⲉ osannaⲱ̀ⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ EpsheeriⲠ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ endavidⲛ̀Ⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ avekhremrem.ⲁⲩⲭ̀ⲣⲉⲙⲣⲉⲙ.
But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant and said to Him,
فَلَمَّا رَأَى رُؤَسَاءُ الْكَهَنَةِ وَالْكَتَبَةِ الْعَجَائِبَ الَّتِي صَنَعَ، وَالأَوْلاَدَ يَصْرَخُونَ فِي الْهَيْكَلِ وَيَقُولُونَ:
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ pegoouⲡⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ nafⲛⲁϥ jeϫⲉ eksotemⲕ̀ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ anⲁⲛ jeϫⲉ ouⲟⲩ peteⲡⲉⲧⲉ naiⲛⲁⲓ goϫⲱ emmofⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ IeesousⲒⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ theⲇⲉ pegafⲡⲉϫⲁϥ noouⲛⲱⲟⲩ jeϫⲉ seⲥⲉ empetenoshⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛⲱϣ enehⲉ̀ⲛⲉϩ khenϧⲉⲛ ni-eghrafeeⲛⲓⲅ̀ⲣⲁⲫⲏ jeϫⲉ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ roouⲣⲱⲟⲩ enhankoujiⲛ̀ϩⲁⲛⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ enaloouiⲛ̀ⲁ̀ⲗⲱⲟⲩⲓ̀ nemⲛⲉⲙ nee-ethowemchiⲛⲏⲉⲑⲟⲩⲉⲙϭⲓ aksevteⲁⲕⲥⲉⲃⲧⲉ pi-esmou.ⲡⲓⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ.
“Do You hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?” Then He left them and went out of the city to Bethany,
«أُوصَنَّا لابْنِ دَاوُدَ!»، غَضِبُوا وَقَالُوا لَهُ: «أَتَسْمَعُ مَا يَقُولُ هؤُلاَءِ؟» فَقَالَ لَهُمْ يَسُوعُ: «نَعَمْ! أَمَا قَرَأْتُمْ قَطُّ: مِنْ أَفْوَاهِ الأَطْفَالِ وَالرُّضَّعِ هَيَّأْتَ تَسْبِيحًا؟».
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ etafkhavⲉ̀ⲧⲁϥⲭⲁⲩ afiⲁϥⲓ̀ savolⲥⲁⲃⲟⲗ entivakiⲛ̀ϯⲃⲁⲕⲓ ebeethaniaⲉ̀Ⲃⲏⲑⲁ̀ⲛⲓⲁ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ afenkotⲁϥⲉⲛⲕⲟⲧ emmav.ⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ.
and He lodged there.
ثُمَّ تَرَكَهُمْ وَخَرَجَ خَارِجَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى بَيْتِ عَنْيَا وَبَاتَ هُنَاكَ.
