The Acts of our fathers the Apostles,
الإبركسيس فصل من أعمال آبائنا الرسل،

After three months we sailed in an Alexandrian ship whose figurehead was the Twin Brothers, which had wintered at the island.
وَبَعْدَ ثَلاَثَةِ أَشْهُرٍ أَقْلَعْنَا فِي سَفِينَةٍ إِسْكَنْدَرِيَّةٍ مَوْسُومَةٍ بِعَلاَمَةِ الْجَوْزَاءِ، كَانَتْ قَدْ شَتَتْ فِي الْجَزِيرَةِ.
efeowonⲉϥⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲟⲛ hanemeeiniϩⲁⲛⲉ̀ⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ hiotfϩⲓⲱⲧϥ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ handioskorosϩⲁⲛⲆⲓⲟⲥⲕⲟⲣⲟⲥ eaferparashimazinⲉ̀ⲁϥⲉⲣⲡⲁⲣⲁⲭⲓⲙⲁⲍⲓⲛ khenϧⲉⲛ tineesos.ϯⲛⲏⲥⲟⲥ.
And landing at Syracuse, we stayed three days.
فَنَزَلْنَا إِلَى سِرَاكُوسَا وَمَكَثْنَا ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ. ثُمَّ مِنْ هُنَاكَ دُرْنَا وَأَقْبَلْنَا إِلَى رِيغِيُونَ.
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ anmoniⲁⲛⲙⲟⲛⲓ esirakousasⲉ̀Ⲥⲓⲣⲁⲕⲟⲩⲥⲁⲥ anshopiⲁⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ emmavⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ enshomtⲛ̀ϣⲟⲙⲧ enehoou.ⲛ̀ⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟⲩ.
From there we circled round and reached Rhegium.
وَبَعْدَ يَوْمٍ وَاحِدٍ حَدَثَتْ رِيحٌ جَنُوبٌ،

And after one day the south wind blew; and the next day we came to Puteoli, where we found brethren, and were invited to stay with them seven days.
فَجِئْنَا فِي الْيَوْمِ الثَّانِي إِلَى بُوطِيُولِي، حَيْثُ وَجَدْنَا إِخْوَةً فَطَلَبُوا إِلَيْنَا أَنْ نَمْكُثَ عِنْدَهُمْ سَبْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ.
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ etanjimiⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲛϫⲓⲙⲓ enni-esneeouⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲥ̀ⲛⲏⲟⲩ emmavⲙ̀ⲙⲁⲩ avthetⲁⲩⲑⲉⲧ penheetⲡⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ ethrenshopiⲉⲑⲣⲉⲛϣⲱⲡⲓ khatotouϧⲁⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ enshashfⲛ̀ϣⲁϣϥ (shashf)(ⲍ̅) enehoouⲛ̀ⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟⲩ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ paireetiⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ aniⲁⲛⲓ̀ eromee.ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲏ.
And so we went toward Rome.
وَهكَذَا أَتَيْنَا إِلَى رُومِيَةَ.

And from there, when the brethren heard about us, they came to meet us as far as Appii Forum and Three Inns. When Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage.
وَمِنْ هُنَاكَ لَمَّا سَمِعَ الإِخْوَةُ بِخَبَرِنَا، خَرَجُوا لاسْتِقْبَالِنَا إِلَى فُورُنِ أَبِّيُوسَ وَالثَّلاَثَةِ الْحَوَانِيتِ. فَلَمَّا رَآهُمْ بُولُسُ شَكَرَ اللهَ وَتَشَجَّعَ.

Now when we came to Rome, the centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard; but Paul was permitted to dwell by himself with the soldier who guarded him.
وَلَمَّا أَتَيْنَا إِلَى رُومِيَةَ سَلَّمَ قَائِدُ الْمِئَةِ الأَسْرَى إِلَى رَئِيسِ الْمُعَسْكَرِ، وَأَمَّا بُولُسُ فَأُذِنَ لَهُ أَنْ يُقِيمَ وَحْدَهُ مَعَ الْعَسْكَرِيِّ الَّذِي كَانَ يَحْرُسُهُ.

And it came to pass after three days that Paul called the leaders of the Jews together. So when they had come together, he said to them:
وَبَعْدَ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ اسْتَدْعَى بُولُسُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا وُجُوهَ الْيَهُودِ. فَلَمَّا اجْتَمَعُوا قَالَ لَهُمْ:

“Men and brethren, though I have done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers, yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans,
«أَيُّهَا الرِّجَالُ الإِخْوَةُ، مَعَ أَنِّي لَمْ أَفْعَلْ شَيْئًا ضِدَّ الشَّعْبِ أَوْ عَوَائِدِ الآبَاءِ، أُسْلِمْتُ مُقَيَّدًا مِنْ أورُشَليم إِلَى أَيْدِي الرُّومَانِيِّينَ،
NaiⲚⲁⲓ etavkhetkhotⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲩϧⲉⲧϧⲱⲧ navowoshⲛⲁⲩⲟⲩⲱϣ ekhatⲉ̀ⲭⲁⲧ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ peⲡⲉ jeϫⲉ empoujemⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲩϫⲉⲙ ehliϩ̀ⲗⲓ enetiaⲛ̀ⲉ̀ⲧⲓⲁ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ efmouⲫ̀ⲙⲟⲩ efshopⲉϥϣⲟⲡ enkheet.ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧ.
who, when they had examined me, wanted to let me go, because there was no cause for putting me to death.
الَّذِينَ لَمَّا فَحَصُوا كَانُوا يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُطْلِقُونِي، لأَنَّهُ لَمْ تَكُنْ فِيَّ عِلَّةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ لِلْمَوْتِ.

But when the Jews spoke against it, I was compelled to appeal to Caesar, not that I had anything of which to accuse my nation.
وَلكِنْ لَمَّا قَاوَمَ الْيَهُودُ، اضْطُرِرْتُ أَنْ أَرْفَعَ دَعْوَايَ إِلَى قَيْصَرَ، لَيْسَ كَأَنَّ لِي شَيْئًا لأَشْتَكِيَ بِهِ عَلَى أُمَّتِي.
EthveⲈⲑⲃⲉ tailoijiⲧⲁⲓⲗⲱⲓϫⲓ ounⲟⲩⲛ naitovhⲛⲁⲓⲧⲱⲃϩ enavⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲩ erotenⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ esajiⲉ̀ⲥⲁϫⲓ nemotenⲛⲉⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ ethelpisⲧ̀ϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ gharⲅⲁⲣ empisraeelⲙ̀Ⲡⲓⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ tisonhϯⲥⲟⲛϩ entaihalisis.ⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲓϩⲁⲗⲩⲥⲓⲥ.
For this reason therefore I have called for you, to see you and speak with you, because for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.”
فَلِهذَا السَّبَبِ طَلَبْتُكُمْ لأَرَاكُمْ وَأُكَلِّمَكُمْ، لأَنِّي مِنْ أَجْلِ رَجَاءِ إِسْرَائِيلَ مُوثَقٌ بِهذِهِ السِّلْسِلَةِ».

Then they said to him, “We neither received letters from Judea concerning you, nor have any of the brethren who came reported or spoken any evil of you.
فَقَالُوا لَهُ: «نَحْنُ لَمْ نَقْبَلْ كِتَابَاتٍ فِيكَ مِنَ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ، وَلاَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ الإِخْوَةِ جَاءَ فَأَخْبَرَنَا أَوْ تَكَلَّمَ عَنْكَ بِشَيْءٍ رَدِيٍّ.

But we desire to hear from you what you think; for concerning this sect, we know that it is spoken against everywhere.”
وَلكِنَّنَا نَسْتَحْسِنُ أَنْ نَسْمَعَ مِنْكَ مَاذَا تَرَى، لأَنَّهُ مَعْلُومٌ عِنْدَنَا مِنْ جِهَةِ هذَا الْمَذْهَبِ أَنَّهُ يُقَاوَمُ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ».

So when they had appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging, to whom he explained and solemnly testified of the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning till evening.
فَعَيَّنُوا لَهُ يَوْمًا، فَجَاءَ إِلَيْهِ كَثِيرُونَ إِلَى الْمَنْزِلِ، فَطَفِقَ يَشْرَحُ لَهُمْ شَاهِدًا بِمَلَكُوتِ اللهِ، وَمُقْنِعًا إِيَّاهُمْ مِنْ نَامُوسِ مُوسَى وَالأَنْبِيَاءِ بِأَمْرِ يَسُوعَ، مِنَ الصَّبَاحِ إِلَى الْمَسَاءِ.
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ hanowonϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ menⲙⲉⲛ nareⲛⲁⲣⲉ pouheetⲡⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ theetⲑⲏⲧ nemⲛⲉⲙ nee-enafgoⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲛⲁϥϫⲱ emmoouⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ hankeϩⲁⲛⲕⲉ koouniⲭⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓ theⲇⲉ navoiⲛⲁⲩⲟⲓ enatnahti.ⲛ̀ⲁⲧⲛⲁϩϯ.
And some were persuaded by the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved.
فَاقْتَنَعَ بَعْضُهُمْ بِمَا قِيلَ، وَبَعْضُهُمْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا.

So when they did not agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had said one word: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers, saying, ‘Go to this people and say:
فَانْصَرَفُوا وَهُمْ غَيْرُ مُتَّفِقِينَ بَعْضُهُمْ مَعَ بَعْضٍ، لَمَّا قَالَ بُولُسُ كَلِمَةً وَاحِدَةً: «إِنَّهُ حَسَنًا كَلَّمَ الرُّوحُ الْقُدُسُ آبَاءَنَا بِإِشَعْيَاءَ النَّبِيِّ قَائِلاً:

“Hearing you will hear, and shall not understand; And seeing you will see, and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
اذْهَبْ إِلَى هذَا الشَّعْبِ وَقُلْ: سَتَسْمَعُونَ سَمْعًا وَلاَ تَفْهَمُونَ، وَسَتَنْظُرُونَ نَظَرًا وَلاَ تُبْصِرُونَ. لأَنَّ قَلْبَ هذَا الشَّعْبِ قَدْ غَلُظَ،

Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.”’
وَبِآذَانِهِمْ سَمِعُوا ثَقِيلاً، وَأَعْيُنُهُمْ أَغْمَضُوهَا. لِئَلاَّ يُبْصِرُوا بِأَعْيُنِهِمْ وَيَسْمَعُوا بِآذَانِهِمْ وَيَفْهَمُوا بِقُلُوبِهِمْ وَيَرْجِعُوا، فَأَشْفِيَهُمْ.

“Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles,
فَلْيَكُنْ مَعْلُومًا عِنْدَكُمْ أَنَّ خَلاَصَ اللهِ قَدْ أُرْسِلَ إِلَى الأُمَمِ، وَهُمْ سَيَسْمَعُونَ!».

and they will hear it!” And when he had said these words, the Jews departed and had a great dispute among themselves.
وَلَمَّا قَالَ هذَا مَضَى الْيَهُودُ وَلَهُمْ مُبَاحَثَةٌ كَثِيرَةٌ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُمْ.

Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house,
وَأَقَامَ بُولُسُ سَنَتَيْنِ كَامِلَتَينِ فِي بَيْتٍ اسْتَأْجَرَهُ لِنَفْسِهِ.

and received all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.
وَكَانَ يَقْبَلُ جَمِيعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْخُلُونَ إِلَيْهِ، كَارِزًا بِمَلَكُوتِ اللهِ، وَمُعَلِّمًا بِأَمْرِ الرَّبِّ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ بِكُلِّ مُجَاهَرَةٍ، بِلاَ مَانِعٍ.
PisajiⲠⲓⲥⲁϫⲓ theⲇⲉ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ EpshoisⲠ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ efeaiaiⲉϥⲉ̀ⲁⲓⲁⲓ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ efe-ashai:ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲁ̀ϣⲁⲓ:
The word of the Lord shall grow,
لم تزل كلمة الرب تنو
efe-amahiⲉϥⲉ̀ⲁ̀ⲙⲁϩⲓ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ efetagro:ⲉϥⲉ̀ⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ:
multiply, be mighty,
وتعتز
khenϧⲉⲛ ti-agiaϯⲁ̀ⲅⲓⲁ enekkleesiaⲛ̀Ⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Efnoti.Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ.
and be confirmed in the holy Church of God.
