I am like a man who has no strength, Adrift among the dead,
صِرْتُ كَرَجُلٍ لاَ قُوَّةَ لَهُ.
eioiⲉⲓⲟⲓ enremheⲛ̀ⲣⲉⲙϩⲉ khenϧⲉⲛ nirefmoout.ⲛⲓⲣⲉϥⲙⲱⲟⲩⲧ.
Like the slain who lie in the grave.
بَيْنَ الأَمْوَاتِ فِرَاشِي مِثْلُ الْقَتْلَى الْمُضْطَجِعِينَ فِي الْقَبْرِ.

Awake!
اِسْتَيْقِظْ.

Why do You sleep, O Lord? Arise! Do not cast us off forever.
لِمَاذَا تَتَغَافَى يَا رَبُّ؟
o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ sottenⲥⲟⲧⲧⲉⲛ ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ pekranⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ ethowab:ⲉ̀ⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ:
Arise for our help, And redeem us for Your mercies' sake.

لاَ تَرْفُضْ إِلَى الأَبَدِ قُمْ عَوْناً لَنَا وَافْدِنَا مِنْ أَجْلِ رَحْمَتِكَ.

Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
حِينَئِذٍ امْتَلَأَتْ أَفْوَاهُنَا ضِحْكاً وَأَلْسِنَتُنَا تَرَنُّماً.

And our tongue with singing.
حِينَئِذٍ قَالُوا بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ:
jeϫⲉ aⲁ EpshoisⲠⲟ̅ⲥ̅ tasheⲧⲁϣⲉ iriⲓ̀ⲣⲓ nemoou:ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲟⲩ:
Then they said among the nations,
[إِنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ عَظَّمَ الْعَمَلَ مَعَ هَؤُلاَءِ].

"The Lord has done great things for them." The Lord has done great things for us,
عَظَّمَ الرَّبُّ الْعَمَلَ مَعَنَا وَصِرْنَا

And we are glad.

وَفِي الْغَدِ الَّذِي بَعْدَ الاِسْتِعْدَادِ اجْتَمَعَ رُؤَسَاءُ الْكَهَنَةِ

وَالْفَرِّيسِيُّونَ إِلَى بِيلاَطُسَ قَائِلِينَ:

saying, "Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said,
«يَا سَيِّدُ قَدْ تَذَكَّرْنَا أَنَّ ذَلِكَ الْمُضِلَّ قَالَ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ:
O-ahⲞ̀ⲩⲁϩ sahniⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ounⲟⲩⲛ etagroⲉ̀ⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ empi-emhavⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲙ̀ϩⲁⲩ shaϣⲁ pimahⲡⲓⲙⲁϩ shomtϣⲟⲙⲧ eneho-ou:ⲛ̀ⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟ̀ⲩ:
'After three days I will rise.' Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day,
إِنِّي بَعْدَ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ أَقُومُ.
meeⲙⲏ posⲡⲱⲥ entouiⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲓ̀ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ nefmatheeteesⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ entoulofⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩⲗⲟϥ enchi-oui:ⲛ̀ϭⲓⲟ̀ⲩⲓ̀:
lest His disciples come by night and steal Him away,
فَمُرْ بِضَبْطِ الْقَبْرِ إِلَى الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ لِئَلَّا يَأْتِيَ تَلاَمِيذُهُ لَيْلاً وَيَسْرِقُوهُ،
o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ entougosⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲩϫⲟⲥ empila-os:ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟ̀ⲥ:
and say to the people,
وَيَقُولُوا لِلشَّعْبِ،
jeϫⲉ aftonfⲁϥⲧⲱⲛϥ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ nee-ethmo-out:ⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲑⲙⲱⲟ̀ⲩⲧ:
'He has risen from the dead.' So the last deception will be worse than the first." Pilate said to them,
إِنَّهُ قَامَ مِنَ الأَمْوَاتِ فَتَكُونَ الضَّلاَلَةُ الأَخِيرَةُ أَشَرَّ مِنَ الأُولَى!» فَقَالَ لَهُمْ بِيلاَطُسُ:

"You have a guard;
«عِنْدَكُمْ حُرَّاسٌ.

go your way, make it as secure as you know how." So they went and made the tomb secure,
اذْهَبُوا وَاضْبُطُوهُ كَمَا تَعْلَمُونَ».

فَمَضَوْا وَضَبَطُوا الْقَبْرَ بِالْحُرَّاسِ وَخَتَمُوا الْحَجَرَ.
