and preach to Jerusalem.

Tell the cities of Judah “Behold,

وقُلْ لمُدن يهوذا

your King comes

"هوذا ملككم آت

with His wage,

وأجرته معه

and His deeds are before Him.

وعمله قدامه.

Like a shepherd

مثل الراعي الذي

who shepherds his flock

يرعى قطيع غنمه

and with his high hands

وبذراعه العالية

gathers the lambs.

يجمع الحملان.

Arise and adorn your gates

قومي زيِّني أبوابك

jeϫⲉ efneeouϥ̀ⲛⲏⲟⲩ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ EpsheeriⲠ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ emefnoti:ⲙ̀Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ:

for the Son of the God is coming

لأنه سيأتي إبن الله،

enthofⲛ̀ⲑⲟϥ ethnasotiⲉⲑⲛⲁⲥⲱϯ emmo:ⲙ̀ⲙⲟ:

and to save you

وهو الذي بالطهارة

with purity and peace.”

والسلامة ينجيك.

Behold,

هوذا كل بنيك

seneeouⲥⲉⲛⲏⲟⲩ harofϩⲁⲣⲟϥ khenϧⲉⲛ o-ounof:ⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟϥ:

all your children will come to Him rejoicing,

يقبلون إليه بفرح

evoshⲉⲩⲱϣ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ evgoⲉⲩϫⲱ emmos:ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ:

while proclaiming

ويصرخون قائلين:

jeϫⲉ osannaⲱ̀ⲥⲁⲛⲛⲁ EpsheeriⲠ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ endavid.ⲛ̀Ⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ.

and saying,

"أوصنا لإبن داود."

“Hosanna to the Son

ولما قرب من بيت

khatenϧⲁⲧⲉⲛ pitoouⲡⲓⲧⲱⲟⲩ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ nigoit:ⲛⲓϫⲱⲓⲧ:

of David.” When He drew near to Bethphage at Mount Olives,

فاجي عند جبل الزيتون،

Jesus sent two of His disciples,

أرسل يسوع إثنين من تلاميذه،

saying,

“Go to the village ahead,

"أمضيا إلى هذه القرية التي أمامكُما،

and you will find a donkey

فتجدان آتاناً

and a colt of a donkey.

وجحشاً إبن آتان.

nemⲛⲉⲙ ouseegⲟⲩⲥⲏϫ epsheeriⲡ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ enowe-o.ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲉ̀ⲱ̀.

Untie them

فحلاهما

VolouⲂⲟⲗⲟⲩ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ aⲁ̀ nitouⲛⲓⲧⲟⲩ nee:ⲛⲏⲓ:

and bring them to Me.

وآتياني بهما.

areshanⲁ̀ⲣⲉϣⲁⲛ o-waiⲟⲩⲁⲓ sajiⲥⲁϫⲓ nemoten:ⲛⲉⲙⲱⲧⲉⲛ:

If anyone says anything to you,

فإن قال لكما أحد شيئاً

enthetenⲛ̀ⲑⲉⲧⲉⲛ eretengosⲉ̀ⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛϫⲟⲥ naf:ⲛⲁϥ:

tell him

فقولا له:

jeϫⲉ EpshoisⲠ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ peterekhriaⲡⲉⲧⲉⲣⲭ̀ⲣⲓⲁ emmoou.ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ.

that the Lord needs them.

أن الرب يحتاج إليهما."

EtaviⲈ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲓ̀ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ nimatheetees:ⲛⲓⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ:

The disciples went

فلما جاء التلميذان

and did as He had instructed them.

كما أمرهما،

They found the donkey

وجدا الآتان

and the colt tied.

والجحش مربوطين.

AvvolouⲀⲩⲃⲟⲗⲟⲩ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ avenouⲁⲩⲉ̀ⲛⲟⲩ naf:ⲛⲁϥ:

So they untied them

فحلاهما

jeϫⲉ hinaϩⲓⲛⲁ entefgokⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥϫⲱⲕ evol:ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ:

and brought them to Him to fulfill what was spoken

وأتيا بهما إليه

enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ fee-etaⲫⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲁ EpshoisⲠ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ gof:ϫⲟϥ:

through the prophet:

كي يكمل ما قاله

evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ hitotfϩⲓⲧⲟⲧϥ empi-eprofeetees.ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ.

“Say to the Daughter of Zion,

الرب من قِبَل النبي:

JeϪⲉ agosⲁ̀ϫⲟⲥ enetsheriⲛ̀ⲧ̀ϣⲉⲣⲓ ension:ⲛ̀Ⲥⲓⲱⲛ:

‘See,

"قولوا لإبنة صهيون:

your King comes to you,

هوذا ملكك يأتيك

riding on a donkey

راكباً على آتان

Oh how great is this wonder:

فيا لِعِظَم هذه الأعجوبة:

He who sits upon the Cherubim rode on a colt

الجالس

afaleeⲁϥⲁ̀ⲗⲏⲓ eouseegⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲥⲏϫ ene-o:ⲛ̀ⲉ̀ⲱ̀:

of a donkey according to the Economy.

فوق الشاروبيم ركب على

kataⲕⲁⲧⲁ o-oikonomia.ⲟⲩⲟⲓⲕⲟⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ.

He is on the earth

جحش آتان كالتدبير.

EnthofⲚ̀ⲑⲟϥ pethemsiⲡⲉⲧϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ hijenϩⲓϫⲉⲛ pikahi:ⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ:

and has never left the heavens.

هو جالس على الأرض،

He sits in the bosom

لم يترك عنه السموات.

of His Father and is present

جالس في حضن أبيه،

The children

وأولاد العبرانيين

of the Hebrews spread their garments before Him.

فرشوا ثيابهم قُدَّامُه.

The Cherubim were covering their faces with their wings.

والشاروبيم معاً يسترون

They were worthily glorifying

وجاءوا بها بفرح

Those who went before Him

وفرشوها في الطريق.

O daughter of Zion.

يا إبنة صهيون.

khenϧⲉⲛ o-oouⲟⲩⲱ̀ⲟⲩ nemⲛⲉⲙ outaio:ⲟⲩⲧⲁⲓⲟ:

For behold,

فإنه قد جاء ملكك بمجد

nemⲛⲉⲙ ounishtiⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ emmetsaie.ⲙ̀ⲙⲉⲧⲥⲁⲓⲉ.

your King comes in glory,

وكرامة

honor and great splendor,

وعِظَم بهاء،

The multitudes went before Him and proclaimed,

Hosanna in the highest.

أوصنا في الأعالي.

faiⲫⲁⲓ peⲡⲉ EpouroⲠ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲟ empisraeel.ⲙ̀Ⲡⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ.

This is the King of Israel.”

هذا هو ملك إسرائيل."

A rod shall come out

يزهر قضيب من أصل يسَّى

evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ ethnouniⲑ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲛⲓ enyesse:ⲛ̀Ⲓⲉⲥⲥⲉ:

of the root of Jesse

وتصعد زهرة

ou-ehreeriⲟⲩϩ̀ⲣⲏⲣⲓ ese-iⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲓ̀ e-epshoi:ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϣⲱⲓ:

and a flower shall rise

وتطلع من

entesiⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲥⲓ̀ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ tefmeeti.ⲧⲉϥⲙⲏϯ.

and blossom

وسطه

Efe-emtonⲈϥⲉ̀ⲉⲙⲧⲟⲛ emmofⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ egof:ⲉ̀ϫⲱϥ:

and the Spirit

ويستريح عليه روح الله.

and the Spirit of worship—the Spirit

وروح العبادة،

that will fill Him

with God’s fear.

who cover their faces from His divinity—chose to ride a colt

وجوههم من أجل لاهوته،
