Watos:
واطس:
AshpeⲀϣⲡⲉ epounofⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲛⲟϥ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ paikosmos:ⲡⲁⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ:
What is the joy of this world?
ما هو فرح هذا العالم،
nemⲛⲉⲙ ni-ekhreemaⲛⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲏⲙⲁ nemⲛⲉⲙ ni-ahor:ⲛⲓⲁ̀ϩⲱⲣ:
And what are the mammons
وما هي الأموال
nee-eteⲛⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲉ emmonⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ heeouϩⲏⲟⲩ enkheetou:ⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ:
and the treasures
والكنوز التي لا نفع
outheⲟⲩⲇⲉ oujinegfoⲟⲩϫⲓⲛϫ̀ⲫⲟ ethmeenⲉⲑⲙⲏⲛ evol.ⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ.
that have no value and are of no use?
فيها ولا فائدة منها.
NaiⲚⲁⲓ eteⲉ̀ⲧⲉ ethnagorgⲉⲑⲛⲁϫⲱⲣϫ enninous:ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲛⲟⲩⲥ:
This which robs the mind
هذه التي تصيد العقول،
o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ etholemⲉⲧϩⲟⲗⲉⲙ ennikati:ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲕⲁϯ:
and steals the understanding.
وتخطف الإفهام،
o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ nivalⲛⲓⲃⲁⲗ evoiⲉⲩⲟⲓ enekhremts:ⲛ̀ⲭ̀ⲣⲉⲙⲧⲥ:
And darkens the eyes
وتظلم العيون،
ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ ni-ehveeouiⲛⲓϩ̀ⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ̀ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ paikosmos.ⲡⲁⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ.
for the sake of this world’s acts.
