I cried with my voice,
بصوتي صرخت،
e-epshoiⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϣⲱⲓ harokϩⲁⲣⲟⲕ Panoti:Ⲡⲁⲛⲟⲩϯ:
to You O my God,
إليك يا إلهي،
ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ tineestia:ϯⲛⲏⲥⲧⲓⲁ:
because of fasting,
فمن أجل الصوم،
moiⲙⲟⲓ neeⲛⲏⲓ enousoti.ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲥⲱϯ.
grant me salvation.
أعطني خلاصاً.
Vo-eethinⲂⲟⲏ̀ⲑⲓⲛ etametgob:ⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲙⲉⲧϫⲱⲃ:
Help my weakness,
أعن ضعفي،
oⲱ̀ Pirefnohem:Ⲡⲓⲣⲉϥⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ:
O Savior,
أيها المخلص،
ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ tineestia:ϯⲛⲏⲥⲧⲓⲁ:
because of fasting,
من أجل الصوم،
ekeioiⲉⲕⲉⲓⲱⲓ ennenchokhem.ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲛϭⲱϧⲉⲙ.
clean our dirt.
أغسل أقذارنا.
++ GeⲄⲉ gharⲅⲁⲣ avtamon:ⲁⲩⲧⲁⲙⲟⲛ:
+ For our forefathers,
+ لأن آبائنا الأولين،

have taught us,
أعلمونا أنه،

in his kingdom,
في ملكه،

because of fasting,
ومن أجل الصوم،

The serpent deceived,
حواء وآدم،
aⲁ̀ pihofⲡⲓϩⲟϥ erhalⲉⲣϩⲁⲗ emmoou:ⲙ̀ⲙⲱⲟⲩ:
Eve and Adam,
أطغتهما الحية،
ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ tineestia:ϯⲛⲏⲥⲧⲓⲁ:
and because of fasting,
ومن أجل الصوم،
aⲁ̀ EpshoisⲠ̀ϭⲟⲓⲥ shenheetϣⲉⲛϩⲏⲧ kharoou.ϧⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩ.
the Lord had compassion on them.
تحنن الرب عليهما.
ZeⲌⲉ ontosⲟⲛⲧⲱⲥ Enokh:Ⲉ̀ⲛⲱⲭ:
Truly Enoch’s mind,
حقاً إستنار،
aferowoiniⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ pefnous:ⲡⲉϥⲛⲟⲩⲥ:
was enlightened,
عقل أخنوخ،

رُفِع إلى السماء.

+ إيليا في صلاته،

طلب فأخذ،

and because of fasting,
ومن أجل الصوم،
empefkaⲙ̀ⲡⲉϥⲭⲁ oumounhoouⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲛϩⲱⲟⲩ e-i.ⲉ̀ⲓ̀.
he stopped the rain.
لم يدع مطراً يأتي.

+ Abraham’s sacrifice,
+ ذبيحة إبراهيم،

the Lord accepted,
قبلها الرب،

and because of fasting,
ومن أجل الصوم،

he hosted God.
قد ضاف الله.
Isa-akⲒ̀ⲥⲁⲁⲕ pimenrit:ⲡⲓⲙⲉⲛⲣⲓⲧ:
Isaac the beloved,
إسحق الحبيب،
avenfⲁⲩⲉⲛϥ e-epkholkhel:ⲉ̀ⲡ̀ϧⲟⲗϧⲉⲗ:
was offered to the slaughter,
قُدم إلى الذبح،
ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ tineestia:ϯⲛⲏⲥⲧⲓⲁ:
and because of fasting,
ومن أجل الصوم،
afougaiⲁϥⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ khenϧⲉⲛ outheleel.ⲟⲩⲑⲉⲗⲏⲗ.
he was joyfully saved.
خَلُصَ بتهليل.
KeⲔⲉ palinⲡⲁⲗⲓⲛ Yakob:Ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃ:
And also Jacob,
ويعقوب أيضاً،
nefvalⲛⲉϥⲃⲁⲗ averkhaki:ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲭⲁⲕⲓ:
his eyes were darkened,
أظلمت عيناه،

بِيعَ لأُناس،

مَلَكَ على مصر.

+ Moses the prophet,
+ موسى النبي،

spoke with God,
تكلم مع الله،

and because of fasting,
ومن أجل الصوم،

أخذ اللوحين.
No-eⲚⲱⲉ̀ pithikeos:ⲡⲓⲇⲓⲕⲉⲟⲥ:
Noah the righteous,
الصديق نوح،
khaϧⲁ pikataklismos:ⲡⲓⲕⲁⲧⲁⲕⲗⲩⲥⲙⲟⲥ:
before the flood,
قبل الطوفان،

من أجل الصوم،

رجال نينوى،

of Nineveh,
بغتةً،

من أجل الصوم،

the Lord heard their voices.
سمع الرب صوتهم.

+ And Lot in the fire,
+ نجا لوط من النار،

through his deeds,
بأعماله،

and because of fasting,
ومن أجل الصوم،

خَلُصَ مع إبنتيه.

+ يونان النبي،

في بطن الحوت،

أفواه الأُسود،

could not approach Daniel,
لم تقترب من دانيال،

and because of fasting,
ومن أجل الصوم،
avchnegoouⲁⲩϭⲛⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ khenϧⲉⲛ pefeshleel.ⲡⲉϥϣ̀ⲗⲏⲗ.
they were subdued through his prayer.
خضعت بصلاته.

إله الآلهة،

يسوع الديان،

Coolness and rest,
برودة وراحة،

and repose,
ونياحاً،

will come on Judgment [Day].
تكون في الدينونة.

+ The Savior taught us,
+ عَلَّمنا المخلص،

in His Gospel,
في إنجيله،
