Come see our Savior,
تعالوا أنظروا مخلصنا،

the good Lover of mankind,
محب البشر الصالح،

He performed the work of fasting,
صنع فعل الصوم،

with His great humility.
بتواضعه العظيم.

فوق الجبال العالية،

with bodily discipline,
بإنفراد جسدي،

He taught us the way in order,
وعلمنا المسلك،

that we may walk like Him.
لكي نسلك مثله.

He conquered the enemy's strength,

والرسل الآطهار،

witnessed His victory,
شهدوا بغلبته،

over the enemy's snares.
علي حجج العدو.

A great and plenteous profit,
ربح عظيم كثير،

is found in fasting,
كائن في الصوم،

it purges sins and covers those,
يمحو الخطايا،

who are defiled.
ويستر للذين تدنسوا.

+ Remove laziness,
اتركوا الكسل،

and take watch,
وتنشطوا،

seek after the love of brothers,
اطلبوا المحبة الأخوية،

and seek fellowship.
وإسعوا نحو المودة.

The perfection of humility,
كمال التواضع،

the truth of piety,
وبر التقوي،

endure in their hands.
وأسلحة.

and supplications.
والطلبات مع الصوم.

كانت مصابيحهن مملوءة زيتاً،

through prayer and fasting.
بالصلاة والصوم.

Those who please the Lord God,

and the patience that comes with it.
