سِر عظيم،

was revealed to you,
الذي أعلنه لك،
oⲱ̀ YoanneesⲒⲱⲁⲛⲛⲏⲥ pi-eprothromos:ⲡⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲇⲣⲟⲙⲟⲥ:
O John the forerunner,

among those born of women."
في مواليد النساء."
EnthokⲚ̀ⲑⲟⲕ peⲡⲉ epgokⲡ̀ϫⲱⲕ enni-eprofeetees:ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ:
You are the perfection of the prophets,
أنت هو كمال الأنبياء،
etaviⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲓ̀ khagofϧⲁϫⲱϥ empensoteer:ⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲛⲤⲱⲧⲏⲣ:
who came before our Savior,
الذين جاءوا قبل مخلصنا،
aksovtiⲁⲕⲥⲟⲃϯ ennefma-emmoshi:ⲛ̀ⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲙ̀ⲙⲟϣⲓ:
you prepared His ways,
لتعد طرقه،
kataⲕⲁⲧⲁ epsajiⲡ̀ⲥⲁϫⲓ eneesa-eeas.ⲛ̀Ⲏ̀ⲥⲁⲏ̀ⲁⲥ.
as said by Isaiah.
كقول أشعياء.

+ وكنت تكرز قائلاً،

"I baptize you,
"أما أنا فأعمدكم،
khenϧⲉⲛ oumoouⲟⲩⲙⲱⲟⲩ emmetanoia:ⲙ̀ⲙⲉⲧⲁⲛⲟⲓⲁ:
with the waters of repentance,
بماء التوبة،
e-epkoⲉ̀ⲡ̀ⲭⲱ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ninovi.ⲛⲓⲛⲟⲃⲓ.
for the forgiveness of sin.
لمغفرة الخطايا.
PeteⲠⲉⲧⲉ o-onⲟⲩⲟⲛ tefⲧⲉϥ eshteenϣ̀ⲑⲏⲛ esnav:ⲥ̀ⲛⲁⲩ:
He who has two tunics,
مَنْ له ثوبان،
efetiⲉϥⲉ̀ϯ empeteⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲧⲉ emmonⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ entaf:ⲛ̀ⲧⲁϥ:
let him give to who has none,
فليعط مَنْ ليس له،
o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ peteⲡⲉⲧⲉ o-onⲟⲩⲟⲛ tafⲧⲁϥ enowoik:ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲓⲕ:
and he who has bread,
والذي عنده خبز،
marefiriⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲓ̀ⲣⲓ onⲟⲛ empaireeti.ⲙ̀ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ.
let him do likewise."
فليصنع هكذا أيضاً."
++ EthveⲈⲑⲃⲉ faiⲫⲁⲓ tenerkhorevin:ⲧⲉⲛⲉⲣⲭⲱⲣⲉⲩⲓⲛ:
+ Therefore we praise,
+ لهذا نمدح صارخين،
enoshⲉⲛⲱϣ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ nemⲛⲉⲙ pi-eprofeetees:ⲡⲓⲡ̀ⲣⲟⲫⲏⲧⲏⲥ:
proclaiming with the prophet,
مع النبي قائلين،
jeϫⲉ avenavⲁⲩⲉ̀ⲛⲁⲩ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ sarksⲥⲁⲣⲝ niven:ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ:
"Every flesh will see,
"كل جسد ينظر،
episoteerⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲤⲱⲧⲏⲣ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Efnoti.Ⲫ̀ϯ.
the salvation of God."

الصالح محب البشر،

for He had compassion on us,
لأنه ترأف علينا،

He came and saved us.
أتى وخلصنا.

ونزيده علواً،

as a good One and Lover of man,
كصالح ومحب البشر،
naiⲛⲁⲓ nanⲛⲁⲛ kataⲕⲁⲧⲁ peknishtiⲡⲉⲕⲛⲓϣϯ ennai.ⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲓ.
have mercy upon us according to Your great mercy.
