Introduction to the Creed
Ⲧⲉⲛϭⲓⲥⲓ ⲙ̀ⲙⲟبدء قانون الإيمانTenchisiⲦⲉⲛϭⲓⲥⲓ emmoⲙ̀ⲙⲟ EthmavⲐ̀ⲙⲁⲩ empiowoiniⲙ̀Ⲡⲓⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ enta-efmee:ⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲫ̀ⲙⲏⲓ:
We exalt you, the Mother of the true Light,
نُعظِّمُكِ يا أمَّ النُّورِ الحَقيقيِّ،
tenti-oouⲧⲉⲛϯⲱ̀ⲟⲩ neⲛⲉ oⲱ̀ thee-ethowabⲑⲏⲉⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ emmasnoti:ⲙ̀Ⲙⲁⲥⲛⲟⲩϯ:
and we glorify you, O saint and Theotokos,
ونُمجِّدكِ أيَّتُها العَذْراءُ القِدِّيسةُ،
jeϫⲉ aremisiⲁ̀ⲣⲉⲙⲓⲥⲓ nanⲛⲁⲛ emepsoteerⲙ̀Ⲡ̀ⲥⲱⲧⲏⲣ empikosmosⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ teerf:ⲧⲏⲣϥ:
for you brought forth unto us the Savior of the whole world;
والِدةُ الإلهِ، لأنَّكِ وَلدْتِ لَنا مُخلِّصَ العالَم،
afiⲁϥⲓ̀ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ afsotiⲁϥⲥⲱϯ ennenpsishee.ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲛⲯⲩⲭⲏ.
He came and saved our souls.
أتَى وخَلَّصَ نُفوسَنا.
O-oouⲞⲩⲱ̀ⲟⲩ nakⲛⲁⲕ PenneebⲠⲉⲛⲛⲏⲃ PenouroⲠⲉⲛⲟⲩⲣⲟ Pi-ekhristos:Ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ:
Glory to You, our Master, our King, Christ,
المجْدُ لكَ يا سَيِّدُنا ومَلكُنا المسيحُ،
epshoushouⲡ̀ϣⲟⲩϣⲟⲩ enni-apostolos:ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲁ̀ⲡⲟⲥⲧⲟⲗⲟⲥ:
the pride of the Apostles,
فَخْرَ الرُّسُل،
pi-eklomⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲗⲟⲙ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ nimartiros:ⲛⲓⲙⲁⲣⲧⲩⲣⲟⲥ:
the crown of the martyrs,
إكْليلَ الشُهداءِ،
eptheleelⲡ̀ⲑⲉⲗⲏⲗ ennithikeos:ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲇⲓⲕⲉⲟⲥ:
the joy of the righteous,
تَهْليلَ الصِدِّيقينَ،
eptagroⲡ̀ⲧⲁϫⲣⲟ enniekkleesia:ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲉⲕⲕⲗⲏⲥⲓⲁ:
the steadfastness of the churches,
ثَباتَ الكَنائسِ،
epkoⲡ̀ⲭⲱ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ninovi.ⲛⲓⲛⲟⲃⲓ.
and the forgiveness of sins.
غُفْرانَ الخَطايا
TenhioishⲦⲉⲛϩⲓⲱⲓϣ enti-etriasⲛ̀Ϯⲧ̀ⲣⲓⲁⲥ ethowab:ⲉⲑⲟⲩⲁⲃ:
We proclaim the Holy Trinity
نُبشِّرُ بالثَّالوثِ القُدُّوسِ،
esⲉⲥ khenϧⲉⲛ oumethnotiⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲛⲟⲩϯ enowot:ⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲧ:
in one Godhead.
لاهوتٌ واحِدٌ،
tenowoshtⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲱϣⲧ emmos:ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ:
We worship Him.
نَسجُدُ لهُ
tenti-oouⲧⲉⲛϯⲱ̀ⲟⲩ nas:ⲛⲁⲥ:
We glorify Him.
ونُمجِّدهُ.
KirieⲔⲩⲣⲓⲉ ele-eeson:ⲉ̀ⲗⲉⲏ̀ⲥⲟⲛ:
Lord have mercy.
يا ربُّ إرحَم.
