18:118:1 MenensaⲘⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁ naiⲛⲁⲓ ainavⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ekeangelosⲉ̀ⲕⲉⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ etafiⲉⲧⲁϥⲓ̀ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ etfeⲧ̀ⲫⲉ eowonⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲟⲛ ounishtiⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ enershishiⲛ̀ⲉⲣϣⲓϣⲓ entotfⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲧϥ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ epkahiⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ aferowoiniⲁϥⲉⲣⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ pefhoⲡⲉϥϩⲟ nemⲛⲉⲙ pefoou.ⲡⲉϥⲱⲟⲩ.
18:1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory.
1 ثُمَّ بَعْدَ هَذَا رَأَيْتُ مَلاَكاً آخَرَ نَازِلاً مِنَ السَّمَاءِ، لَهُ سُلْطَانٌ عَظِيمٌ. وَاسْتَنَارَتِ الأَرْضُ مِنْ بَهَائِهِ.
18:218:2 O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ afoshⲁϥⲱϣ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ ounishtiⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ enekhroou:ⲛ̀ϧ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ:
18:2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice,
2 وَصَرَخَ بِشِدَّةٍ بِصَوْتٍ عَظِيمٍ قَائِلاً:
jeϫⲉ asheiⲁⲥϩⲉⲓ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ BabilonⲂⲁⲃⲩⲗⲱⲛ tinishtiϯⲛⲓϣϯ emvakiⲙ̀ⲃⲁⲕⲓ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ asshopiⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ emmaⲙ̀ⲙⲁ enenkotⲛ̀ⲉⲛⲕⲟⲧ ennikhⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲓϧ nemⲛⲉⲙ ma-enshopiⲙⲁⲛ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ emepnevmaⲙ̀ⲡ̀ⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁ nivenⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ enakathartonⲛ̀ⲁⲕⲁⲑⲁⲣⲧⲟⲛ nemⲛⲉⲙ ma-enshopiⲙⲁⲛ̀ϣⲱⲡⲓ enhaleetⲛ̀ϩⲁⲗⲏⲧ nivenⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ etsofⲉⲧⲥⲱϥ emmestou.ⲙ̀ⲙⲉⲥⲧⲟⲩ.
saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!
«سَقَطَتْ سَقَطَتْ بَابِلُ الْعَظِيمَةُ، وَصَارَتْ مَسْكَناً لِشَيَاطِينَ، وَمَحْرَساً لِكُلِّ رُوحٍ نَجِسٍ، وَمَحْرَساً لِكُلِّ طَائِرٍ نَجِسٍ وَمَمْقُوتٍ،
18:318:3 JeϪⲉ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ epemvonⲡ̀ⲉⲙⲃⲟⲛ empieerpⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲏⲣⲡ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ tesporniaⲧⲉⲥⲡⲟⲣⲛⲓⲁ avheiⲁⲩϩⲉⲓ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ niethnosⲛⲓⲉⲑⲛⲟⲥ teerou:ⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ:
18:3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication,
3 لأَنَّهُ مِنْ خَمْرِ غَضَبِ زِنَاهَا قَدْ شَرِبَ جَمِيعُ الأُمَمِ،
nemⲛⲉⲙ niouroouⲛⲓⲟⲩⲣⲱⲟⲩ teerouⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ epkahiⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ neeⲛⲏ etaverpornevinⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉ̀ⲣⲡⲟⲣⲛⲉⲩⲓⲛ nemas:ⲛⲉⲙⲁⲥ:
the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her,
وَمُلُوكُ الأَرْضِ زَنُوا مَعَهَا،
nemⲛⲉⲙ nishotiⲛⲓϣⲟϯ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ epkahiⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ pesjerjerⲡⲉⲥϫⲉⲣϫⲉⲣ averrama-o.ⲁⲩⲉⲣⲣⲁⲙⲁⲟ̀.
and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury."
وَتُجَّارُ الأَرْضِ اسْتَغْنُوا مِنْ وَفْرَةِ نَعِيمِهَا».
18:418:4 O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ aisotemⲁⲓⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ eou-esmeeⲉ̀ⲟⲩⲥ̀ⲙⲏ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ etfeⲧ̀ⲫⲉ esgoⲉⲥϫⲱ emmos:ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ:
18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her,
4 ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُ صَوْتاً آخَرَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ قَائِلاً:
jeϫⲉ amoiniⲁ̀ⲙⲱⲓⲛⲓ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ enkheetsⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧⲥ naⲛⲁ palaosⲡⲁⲗⲁⲟⲥ hinaϩⲓⲛⲁ enteteneshtemchiⲛ̀ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛϣ̀ⲧⲉⲙϭⲓ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ neserkhot.ⲛⲉⲥⲉⲣϧⲟⲧ.
my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
«اخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا يَا شَعْبِي لِئَلَّا تَشْتَرِكُوا فِي خَطَايَاهَا، وَلِئَلَّا تَأْخُذُوا مِنْ ضَرَبَاتِهَا.
18:518:5 JeϪⲉ avtomouⲁⲩⲧⲟⲙⲟⲩ erosⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲥ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ nesnoviⲛⲉⲥⲛⲟⲃⲓ shaϣⲁ e-ehreeⲉ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ e-etfeⲉ̀ⲧ̀ⲫⲉ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ aⲁ EfnotiⲪ̀ϯ erefmeviⲉⲣⲫ̀ⲙⲉⲩⲓ̀ enneschi-engons.ⲛ̀ⲛⲉⲥϭⲓⲛ̀ϫⲟⲛⲥ.
18:5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
5 لأَنَّ خَطَايَاهَا لَحِقَتِ السَّمَاءَ، وَتَذَكَّرَ اللهُ آثَامَهَا.
18:618:6 MoiⲘⲟⲓ nasⲛⲁⲥ emefreetiⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ etastishevioⲉⲧⲁⲥϯϣⲉⲃⲓⲱ emmofⲙ̀ⲙⲟϥ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ kovouⲕⲟⲃⲟⲩ nasⲛⲁⲥ kataⲕⲁⲧⲁ nesehveeouiⲛⲉⲥϩ̀ⲃⲏⲟⲩⲓ̀ khenϧⲉⲛ pesafotⲡⲉⲥⲁⲫⲟⲧ emefreetiⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲣⲏϯ etastotfⲉⲧⲁⲥⲑⲟⲧϥ kovfⲕⲟⲃϥ nas.ⲛⲁⲥ.
18:6 Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double according to her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her.
6 جَازُوهَا كَمَا هِيَ أَيْضاً جَازَتْكُمْ، وَضَاعِفُوا لَهَا ضِعْفاً نَظِيرَ أَعْمَالِهَا. فِي الْكَأْسِ الَّتِي مَزَجَتْ فِيهَا امْزُجُوا لَهَا ضِعْفاً.
18:718:7 Pi-oouⲠⲓⲱ̀ⲟⲩ etasshopiⲉⲧⲁⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ enkheetfⲛ̀ϧⲏⲧϥ nemⲛⲉⲙ pijerjerⲡⲓϫⲉⲣϫⲉⲣ meeifⲙⲏⲓϥ nasⲛⲁⲥ enemkahⲛ̀ⲉⲙⲕⲁϩ enheetⲛ̀ϩⲏⲧ nemⲛⲉⲙ heevi:ϩⲏⲃⲓ:
18:7 In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously,
7 بِقَدْرِ مَا مَجَّدَتْ نَفْسَهَا وَتَنَعَّمَتْ، بِقَدْرِ ذَلِكَ أَعْطُوهَا عَذَاباً وَحُزْناً.
jeϫⲉ esgoⲥ̀ϫⲱ emmosⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ khenϧⲉⲛ pesheet:ⲡⲉⲥϩⲏⲧ:
in the same measure give her torment and sorrow;
لأَنَّهَا تَقُولُ فِي قَلْبِهَا:
jeϫⲉ tinahemsiϯⲛⲁϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ eioiⲉⲓⲟⲓ enouroⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲱ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ anokⲁ̀ⲛⲟⲕ ousheeraⲟⲩⲭⲏⲣⲁ anⲁⲛ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ ennanavⲛ̀ⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ eheevi.ⲉ̀ϩⲏⲃⲓ.
for she says in her heart, 'I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.'
أَنَا جَالِسَةٌ مَلِكَةً، وَلَسْتُ أَرْمَلَةً، وَلَنْ أَرَى حُزْناً.
18:818:8 EthveⲈⲑⲃⲉ faiⲫⲁⲓ khenϧⲉⲛ o-ehoouⲟⲩⲉ̀ϩⲟⲟⲩ enowotⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲧ eve-iⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲓ̀ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ neserkhotⲛⲉⲥⲉⲣϧⲟⲧ oumouⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩ nemⲛⲉⲙ ouheeviⲟⲩϩⲏⲃⲓ nemⲛⲉⲙ ou-ehkoⲟⲩϩ̀ⲕⲟ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ eserokhⲉⲥⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲕϩ khenϧⲉⲛ pi-ekrom:ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲱⲙ:
18:8 Therefore her plagues will come in one day--death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire,
8 مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ فِي يَوْمٍ وَاحِدٍ سَتَأْتِي ضَرَبَاتُهَا: مَوْتٌ وَحُزْنٌ وَجُوعٌ، وَتَحْتَرِقُ بِالنَّارِ،
jeϫⲉ efgorϥ̀ϫⲟⲣ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ EpshoisⲠ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ EfnotiⲪ̀ϯ feeⲫⲏ etaftihapⲉⲧⲁϥϯϩⲁⲡ eros.ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲥ.
for strong is the Lord God who judges her.
لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ الْإِلَهَ الَّذِي يَدِينُهَا قَوِيٌّ.
18:918:9 O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ everimiⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲣⲓⲙⲓ evenehpiⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲛⲉϩⲡⲓ e-ehreeⲉ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ egosⲉ̀ϫⲱⲥ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ niouroouⲛⲓⲟⲩⲣⲱⲟⲩ teerouⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ epkahiⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ neeⲛⲏ etaverpornevinⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲣⲡⲟⲣⲛⲉⲩⲓⲛ teerouⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ avjerjerⲁⲩϫⲉⲣϫⲉⲣ eshopⲉϣⲱⲡ theⲇⲉ avshannavⲁⲩϣⲁⲛⲛⲁⲩ epi-ekhremtsⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲉⲙⲧⲥ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ pesrokhⲡⲉⲥⲣⲱⲕϩ
18:9 "The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning,
9 «وَسَيَبْكِي وَيَنُوحُ عَلَيْهَا مُلُوكُ الأَرْضِ، الَّذِينَ زَنُوا وَتَنَعَّمُوا مَعَهَا، حِينَمَا يَنْظُرُونَ دُخَانَ حَرِيقِهَا،
18:1018:10 eveohiⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲟϩⲓ eratouⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ hifoweiϩⲓⲫⲟⲩⲉⲓ ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ ethotiⲧ̀ϩⲟϯ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ pesethemkoⲡⲉⲥⲧ̀ϩⲉⲙⲕⲟ evgoⲉⲩϫⲱ emmos:ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ:
18:10 standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, 'Alas,
10 وَاقِفِينَ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ لأَجْلِ خَوْفِ عَذَابِهَا قَائِلِينَ:
jeϫⲉ o-oiⲟⲩⲟⲓ nasⲛⲁⲥ o-oiⲟⲩⲟⲓ nasⲛⲁⲥ tinishtiϯⲛⲓϣϯ empolisⲙ̀ⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ BabilonⲂⲁⲃⲩⲗⲱⲛ tipolisϯⲡⲟⲗⲓⲥ etjerjerⲉⲧϫⲉⲣϫⲉⲣ khenϧⲉⲛ o-ounouⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ afiⲁϥⲓ̀ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ peshap.ⲡⲉⲥϩⲁⲡ.
alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.'
وَيْلٌ وَيْلٌ! الْمَدِينَةُ الْعَظِيمَةُ بَابِلُ! الْمَدِينَةُ الْقَوِيَّةُ! لأَنَّهُ فِي سَاعَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ جَاءَتْ دَيْنُونَتُكِ.
18:1118:11 O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ nishotiⲛⲓϣⲟϯ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ epkahiⲡ̀ⲕⲁϩⲓ everimiⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲣⲓⲙⲓ eve-erheeviⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲉⲣϩⲏⲃⲓ e-ehreeⲉ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ egosⲉ̀ϫⲱⲥ jeϫⲉ emmonⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲛ ehliϩ̀ⲗⲓ nashepⲛⲁϣⲉⲡ noughomosⲛⲟⲩⲅⲟⲙⲟⲥ entotou:ⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ:
18:11 And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore:
11 وَيَبْكِي تُجَّارُ الأَرْضِ وَيَنُوحُونَ عَلَيْهَا، لأَنَّ بَضَائِعَهُمْ لاَ يَشْتَرِيهَا أَحَدٌ فِي مَا بَعْدُ،
18:1218:12 PoughomosⲠⲟⲩⲅⲟⲙⲟⲥ ennoubⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩⲃ nemⲛⲉⲙ poughomosⲡⲟⲩⲅⲟⲙⲟⲥ enhatⲛ̀ϩⲁⲧ nemⲛⲉⲙ nioniⲛⲓⲱⲛⲓ ettaieeoutⲉⲧⲧⲁⲓⲏⲟⲩⲧ nemⲛⲉⲙ nimarghariteeⲛⲓⲙⲁⲣⲅⲁⲣⲓⲧⲏ sⲥ nemⲛⲉⲙ nishensⲛⲓϣⲉⲛⲥ nemⲛⲉⲙ cheejiϭⲏϫⲓ nemⲛⲉⲙ olosirikonⲟⲗⲟⲥⲓⲣⲓⲕⲟⲛ nemⲛⲉⲙ kokkinonⲕⲟⲕⲕⲓⲛⲟⲛ nemⲛⲉⲙ eskevosⲥ̀ⲕⲉⲩⲟⲥ nivenⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ enelefantinonⲛ̀ⲉⲗⲉⲫⲁⲛⲧⲓⲛⲟⲛ nemⲛⲉⲙ eskevosⲥ̀ⲕⲉⲩⲟⲥ nivenⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ nisheⲛⲓϣⲉ ettaieeoutⲉⲧⲧⲁⲓⲏⲟⲩⲧ nemⲛⲉⲙ sheϣⲉ nivenⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ enthi-inonⲛ̀ⲑⲩⲓⲛⲟⲛ nemⲛⲉⲙ homtϩⲟⲙⲧ nemⲛⲉⲙ venipiⲃⲉⲛⲓⲡⲓ nemⲛⲉⲙ marmaron:ⲙⲁⲣⲙⲁⲣⲟⲛ:
18:12 merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones and pearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, every kind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble;
12 بَضَائِعَ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَالْحَجَرِ الْكَرِيمِ وَاللُّؤْلُؤِ وَالْبَزِّ وَالأُرْجُوانِ وَالْحَرِيرِ وَالْقِرْمِزِ وَكُلَّ عُودٍ ثِينِيٍّ وَكُلَّ إِنَاءٍ مِنَ الْعَاجِ وَكُلَّ إِنَاءٍ مِنْ أَثْمَنِ الْخَشَبِ وَالنُّحَاسِ وَالْحَدِيدِ وَالْمَرْمَرِ،
18:1318:13 NemⲚⲉⲙ kinamononⲕⲩⲛⲁⲙⲱⲛⲟⲛ nemⲛⲉⲙ estoinoufiⲥ̀ⲑⲟⲓⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ nemⲛⲉⲙ sojenⲥⲟϫⲉⲛ nemⲛⲉⲙ livanosⲗⲓⲃⲁⲛⲟⲥ nemⲛⲉⲙ eerpⲏⲣⲡ nemⲛⲉⲙ nehⲛⲉϩ nemⲛⲉⲙ simethalionⲥⲩⲙⲉⲇⲁⲗⲓⲟⲛ ensowoⲛ̀ⲥⲟⲩⲟ̀ nemⲛⲉⲙ tevneeⲧⲉⲃⲛⲏ nemⲛⲉⲙ esoouⲉ̀ⲥⲱⲟⲩ nemⲛⲉⲙ ehthoϩ̀ⲑⲟ nemⲛⲉⲙ somaⲥⲱⲙⲁ nemⲛⲉⲙ psisheeⲯⲩⲭⲏ enromi.ⲛ̀ⲣⲱⲙⲓ.
18:13 and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine and oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies and souls of men.
13 وَقِرْفَةً وَبَخُوراً وَطِيباً وَلُبَاناً وَخَمْراً وَزَيْتاً وَسَمِيذاً وَحِنْطَةً وَبَهَائِمَ وَغَنَماً وَخَيْلاً، وَمَرْكَبَاتٍ، وَأَجْسَاداً، وَنُفُوسَ النَّاسِ.
18:1418:14 NemⲚⲉⲙ esporaⲥ̀ⲡⲟⲣⲁ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ti-epithimiaϯⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲑⲩⲙⲓⲁ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ tipsisheeϯⲯⲩⲭⲏ avsheⲁⲩϣⲉ noouⲛⲱⲟⲩ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ haroϩⲁⲣⲟ nemⲛⲉⲙ nekeniⲛⲉⲕⲉⲛⲓ teerouⲧⲏⲣⲟⲩ nemⲛⲉⲙ nefiriⲛⲉⲫⲓⲣⲓ avtakoⲁⲩⲧⲁⲕⲟ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ haroϩⲁⲣⲟ o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ ennoujemouⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩϫⲉⲙⲟⲩ jeϫⲉ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ neshoti.ⲛⲉϣⲟϯ.
18:14 The fruit that your soul longed for has gone from you, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all.
14 وَذَهَبَ عَنْكِ جَنَى شَهْوَةِ نَفْسِكِ، وَذَهَبَ عَنْكِ كُلُّ مَا هُوَ مُشْحِمٌ وَبَهِيٌّ، وَلَنْ تَجِدِيهِ فِي مَا بَعْدُ.
18:1518:15 JeϪⲉ naiⲛⲁⲓ neⲛⲉ neeⲛⲏ etaverrama-oⲉⲧⲁⲩⲉⲣⲣⲁⲙⲁⲟ̀ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ emmoⲙ̀ⲙⲟ evohiⲉⲩⲟ̀ϩⲓ eratouⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩ hifoweiϩⲓⲫⲟⲩⲉⲓ ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ ethotiⲧ̀ϩⲟϯ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ pesethemkoⲡⲉⲥⲧ̀ϩⲉⲙⲕⲟ everimiⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲣⲓⲙⲓ eve-erheevi:ⲉⲩⲉ̀ⲉⲣϩⲏⲃⲓ:
18:15 The merchants of these things, who became rich by her, will stand at a distance for fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
15 تُجَّارُ هَذِهِ الأَشْيَاءِ الَّذِينَ اسْتَغْنُوا مِنْهَا سَيَقِفُونَ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ، مِنْ أَجْلِ خَوْفِ عَذَابِهَا، يَبْكُونَ وَيَنُوحُونَ،

'Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!
وَيْلٌ وَيْلٌ! الْمَدِينَةُ الْعَظِيمَةُ الْمُتَسَرْبِلَةُ بِبَزٍّ وَأُرْجُوانٍ وَقِرْمِزٍ، وَالْمُتَحَلِّيَةُ بِذَهَبٍ وَحَجَرٍ كَرِيمٍ وَلُؤْلُؤٍ،

18:17 For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.' Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance
17 لأَنَّهُ فِي سَاعَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ خَرِبَ غِنىً مِثْلُ هَذَا. وَكُلُّ رُبَّانٍ، وَكُلُّ الْجَمَاعَةِ فِي السُّفُنِ، وَالْمَلاَّحُونَ وَجَمِيعُ عُمَّالِ الْبَحْرِ، وَقَفُوا مِنْ بَعِيدٍ،

18 وَصَرَخُوا إِذْ نَظَرُوا دُخَانَ حَرِيقِهَا قَائِلِينَ:

18:19 They threw dust on their heads and cried out, weeping and wailing,
19 وَأَلْقُوا تُرَاباً عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمْ، وَصَرَخُوا بَاكِينَ وَنَائِحِينَ قَائِلِينَ:

and saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth!
«وَيْلٌ وَيْلٌ! الْمَدِينَةُ الْعَظِيمَةُ، الَّتِي فِيهَا اسْتَغْنَى جَمِيعُ الَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سُفُنٌ فِي الْبَحْرِ مِنْ نَفَائِسِهَا،
JeϪⲉ enehreeⲛ̀ϩ̀ⲣⲏⲓ khenϧⲉⲛ o-ounouⲟⲩⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ asshof.ⲁⲥϣⲱϥ.
For in one hour she is made desolate.'
لأَنَّهَا فِي سَاعَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ خَرِبَتْ.

18:20 Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets,
20 اِفْرَحِي لَهَا أَيَّتُهَا السَّمَاءُ وَالرُّسُلُ الْقِدِّيسُونَ وَالأَنْبِيَاءُ،
jeϫⲉ aⲁ EpshoisⲠ̀ⲟ̅ⲥ̅ EfnotiⲪ̀ϯ afiriⲁϥⲓⲣⲓ empetenhapⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲛϩⲁⲡ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ emmos.ⲙ̀ⲙⲟⲥ.
for God has avenged you on her!"
لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ دَانَهَا دَيْنُونَتَكُمْ».

"Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.
«هَكَذَا بِدَفْعٍ سَتُرْمَى بَابِلُ الْمَدِينَةُ الْعَظِيمَةُ، وَلَنْ تُوجَدَ فِي مَا بَعْدُ.

18:22 The sound of harpists, musicians, flutists, and trumpeters shall not be heard in you anymore. No craftsman of any craft shall be found in you anymore, and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard in you anymore.
22 وَصَوْتُ الضَّارِبِينَ بِالْقِيثَارَةِ وَالْمُغَنِّينَ وَالْمُزَمِّرِينَ وَالنَّافِخِينَ بِالْبُوقِ لَنْ يُسْمَعَ فِيكِ فِي مَا بَعْدُ. وَكُلُّ صَانِعٍ صِنَاعَةً لَنْ يُوجَدَ فِيكِ فِي مَا بَعْدُ. وَصَوْتُ رَحىً لَنْ يُسْمَعَ فِيكِ فِي مَا بَعْدُ.

18:23 The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. For your merchants were the great men of the earth, for by your sorcery all the nations were deceived.
23 وَنُورُ سِرَاجٍ لَنْ يُضِيءَ فِيكِ فِي مَا بَعْدُ. وَصَوْتُ عَرِيسٍ وَعَرُوسٍ لَنْ يُسْمَعَ فِيكِ فِي مَا بَعْدُ. لأَنَّ تُجَّارَكِ كَانُوا عُظَمَاءَ الأَرْضِ. إِذْ بِسِحْرِكِ ضَلَّتْ جَمِيعُ الأُمَمِ.

18:24 And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth."
24 وَفِيهَا وُجِدَ دَمُ أَنْبِيَاءَ وَقِدِّيسِينَ، وَجَمِيعُ مَنْ قُتِلَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ».
