MatankhoiⲘⲁⲧⲁⲛϧⲟⲓ EfnotiⲪϯ jeϫⲉ ahanmoouⲁ̀ϩⲁⲛⲙⲱⲟⲩ sheϣⲉ ekhounⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ shatapsisheeϣⲁⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ ::
Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck.
احيينى يا الله فان المياه قد بلغت إلى نفسى.
aitholsⲁⲓⲑⲱⲗⲥ khenϧⲉⲛ ethileeⲧ̀ϩⲩⲗⲏ emefmou.ⲙ̀ⲫ̀ⲙⲟⲩ.
I sink in deep mire,
وتورطت فى حمأة الموت.
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ atiⲁϯ enoushashiⲛ̀ⲟⲩϣⲁϣⲓ eta-ekhreⲉ̀ⲧⲁϧ̀ⲣⲉ ::
they also gave me gall for my food,
وجعلوا طعامى مرارة.
o-wohⲟⲩⲟϩ avetsoiⲁⲩⲧ̀ⲥⲱⲓ enouhemgⲛ̀ⲟⲩϩⲉⲙϫ khenϧⲉⲛ pa-iviⲡⲁⲓ̀ⲃⲓ ::
And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
