Incline Your ear to my cry.
أمل يا رب سمعك إلى طلبتي،
JeϪⲉ asmohⲁⲥⲙⲟϩ empethoouⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ tapsishee.ⲧⲁⲯⲩⲭⲏ.
For my soul is full of troubles,
فقد امتلأت من الشر نفسي،
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ paonkhⲡⲁⲱⲛϧ afkhontⲁϥϧⲱⲛⲧ e-amenti.ⲉ̀Ⲁ̀ⲙⲉⲛϯ.
And my life draws near to the grave.
وحياتي إلى الجحيم دنت.
O-wohⲞⲩⲟϩ aknahmetⲁⲕⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ entotouⲛ̀ⲧⲟⲧⲟⲩ ennee-ethnaiⲛ̀ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁⲓ e-ekhreeⲉ̀ϧ̀ⲣⲏⲓ e-eflakkos.ⲉ̀ⲫ̀ⲗⲁⲕⲕⲟⲥ.
I am counted with those who go down to the pit.
حُسبتُ مع المُنحدرين في الجُبِّ.

Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging.
وَلَمَّا اقْتَرَبَ مِنْ أَرِيحَا كَانَ أَعْمَى جَالِسًا علَى الطَّرِيقِ يَسْتَعْطِي.

And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant.
فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ الْجَمْعَ مُجْتَازًا سَأَلَ:

So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
«مَا عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ هذَا؟» فَأَخْبَرُوهُ أَنَّ يَسُوعَ النَّاصِرِيَّ مُجْتَازٌ.

And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
فَصَرَخَ قِائِلاً: «يَايَسُوعُ ابْنَ دَاوُدَ، ارْحَمْنِي!».

Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet;
فَانْتَهَرَهُ الْمُتَقَدِّمُونَ لِيَسْكُتَ، أَمَّا هُوَ فَصَرَخَ أَكْثَرَ كَثِيرًا:
enthofⲛ̀ⲑⲟϥ theⲇⲉ mallonⲙⲁⲗⲗⲟⲛ enhowoⲛ̀ϩⲟⲩⲟ nafoshⲛⲁϥⲱϣ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ jeϫⲉ EpsheeriⲠ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ endavidⲛ̀Ⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ naiⲛⲁⲓ nee.ⲛⲏⲓ.
but he cried out all the more, “Son of David,
«يَا ابْنَ دَاوُدَ، ارْحَمْنِي!».
(ehme)(ⲙ̅) EtafohiⲈ̀ⲧⲁϥⲟ̀ϩⲓ theⲇⲉ eratfⲉ̀ⲣⲁⲧϥ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ IeesousⲒⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ afowahsahniⲁϥⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ ethrowenfⲉⲑⲣⲟⲩⲉⲛϥ harof:ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ:
have mercy on me!” So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him.
فَوَقَفَ يَسُوعُ وَأَمَرَ أَنْ يُقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ.

And when he had come near, He asked him,
وَلَمَّا اقْتَرَبَ سَأَلَهُ قِائِلاً:
(ehme o-wai) Je ou petekowashf enta-aif nak(ⲙ̅ⲁ̅) Ϫⲉ ⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲕⲟⲩⲁϣϥ ⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲁⲓϥ ⲛⲁⲕ
saying, “What do you want Me to do for you?”
«مَاذَا تُرِيدُ أَنْ أَفْعَلَ بِكَ؟»
enthofⲛ̀ⲑⲟϥ theⲇⲉ pegafⲡⲉϫⲁϥ jeϫⲉ PashoisⲠⲁϭⲟⲓⲥ hinaϩⲓⲛⲁ entanavⲛ̀ⲧⲁⲛⲁⲩ emvol.ⲙ̀ⲃⲟⲗ.
He said, “Lord,
فَقَالَ: «يَاسَيِّدُ، أَنْ أُبْصِرَ!».
(ehme esnav) O-woh peje Ieesous naf je anav emvol:(ⲙ̅ⲃ̅) Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲉϫⲉ Ⲓⲏⲥⲟⲩⲥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ ⲁ̀ⲛⲁⲩ ⲙ̀ⲃⲟⲗ:
that I may receive my sight.” Then Jesus said to him,
فَقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «أَبْصِرْ. إِيمَانُكَ قَدْ شَفَاكَ».

“Receive your sight;
وَفِي الْحَالِ أَبْصَرَ،
(ehme shomt) O-woh satotf afnav emvol o-woh afmoshi ensof efti-oou emefnoti o-woh pilaos teerf etavnav avesmou e-efnoti.(ⲙ̅ⲅ̅) Ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲁⲧⲟⲧϥ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲩ ⲙ̀ⲃⲟⲗ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥⲙⲟϣⲓ ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ ⲉϥϯⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ⲙ̀Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲡⲓⲗⲁⲟⲥ ⲧⲏⲣϥ ⲉ̀ⲧⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲥ̀ⲙⲟⲩ ⲉ̀Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ.
your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
وَتَبِعَهُ وَهُوَ يُمَجِّدُ اللهَ. وَجَمِيعُ الشَّعْبِ إِذْ رَأَوْا سَبَّحُوا اللهَ.
