Thankyou for your reply and thoughts so we should preach Gods love to those who look like they want some help and compassion?
We should preach it to people whateve…

Hi User, I find your post baffling. No one should preach when such a fear of God and his judgements is their missionary drive. If you were a salesman, you need to convince the buyer that the product is good. If you're scarred of the product, or u…

Sounds great. I live in Melbourne and the cost is inhibitive. The only thing I can think to add would be Greek and Syriac.

According to St Seraphim of Sarov, the spirit was also formed from the dust: The Revelation of St Seraphim said:"Many explain that when it says in the Bible: 'God breathed the breath of life into the face of Adam the first-created, who was created b…

Dearest Brother Metouro There are 2 simple reasons why 'Mia Physis' is a formula of St Cyril. The first is, like all things God, we're speaking about a mystery. We know little about our own nature, let alone the hypostatic union. The second is, i…

Okay; it is important for all of us to remember that the evangelical imperative is sent to those who have first converted their own souls before converting the souls of others. It is only from fullness that fullness can be shared. The materialis…

Hi User, I'm not sure I follow either your greatest proof or the need for it? If you want to help other people the best way to do it is to be a better Christian. The main evangelical axiom is 'come and see' if they can see Christ in you then they…

No no, don't get me wrong; this isn't a question of whether or not the hymns are Spiritually satisfying. I guess I'm trying to see if I can find a gap in the market so to speak. There will be times when listening to the liturgy might not be appr…

All this discussion makes me wonder if there is a gap in the common Orthodox music which we use in our Churches. I used to listen to the Liturgy and tasbeha for recreational or leisure but this doesn't sit well with me because its a very special ki…

I've emailed him and linked the thread so we might be lucky and get a response. I've always wondered what the impact of things like historical preservation are (this our second segway) maybe we need to spawn a new thread. :-)

I am sorry my dear brother - and I do emphasise that I offer this up as my own personal opinion as educated or uneducated as it may be - but I believe that the way Coptic is used and understood by the people IS part of the problem. What makes our h…

I think we're all missing one of the main ingredients of this discussion; the reason why we should chant Orthodox hymns like the Tasbeha over protestant ones and even why we should restrict ourselves from attending concerts such as protestant ones i…
