Prayer for healing from injury

edited December 1969 in Prayer Requests
Hi everybody,

There are many more important things to pray about here, I know, but if you would please spare a small prayer for me I would appreciate it. About 3 weeks ago now I injured myself. I thought it was a sprain, but it isn't getting better and in many ways seems to be getting worse. It is putting a lot of strain on my poor father because I can't really do much that I would usually do (cook, do chores, etc), because I can't stand on it for more than maybe 2 minutes at a time. It is even affecting my prayer life, shamefully, because I cannot stand or bow or do prostrations. I just got off the phone with a friend of mine and she told me that what I described to her sounds a lot like what her father went through when he broke a small bone in his foot, so now I'm worried I might have done that. It certainly would explain a lot. I don't have money to visit a doctor or specialist, and prayers are best anyway, so if you can, please remember me in  your prayers.

Thank you. May the God bless you all.

  • + Irini nem ehmot,

Lord, give your servant strength to endure and healing of his infirmities, O Great Physician.
  • May God give you the strength to maintain your spiritual life's activities and help your foot get better. Amen.
  • Rabena ma3ak ("our Lord is with you" in Arabic).
  • May the Lord have mercy on you, dzheremi.

I will pray for you this morning, I am driving down to see my FOC.

    God bless you

    Father Peter
  • May Christ grant you healing, strength and hope to get you through this time. I'm sure God will act in your best interests. Smile, God loves u.

"Do not reject afflictions, for through them you will enter into the knowledge of the truth; and do not fear temptations, because therein you will find precious things."- St Isaac the Syrian
  • May the Lord heal you quickly with the prayers of the martyr physicians Saint Kelta and the Saint brothers Cozmas and Damien.

I recommend you to try to seek some support from your nearest CO church to avoid a long term problem. May God provide you soon with someone to help and check your injury and to bring you a pain relieving topical ointment and a roll of suitable bandage.

You nevertheless should not strain your foot for 2-3 weeks.

  • Kyrie Eleison
  • Auchh, alf salama! ( Get well soon),

Prayers of Saint Mary and anba bishoy and Ava Kyrilos and all the saints!

You are in my prayers too,

Let us know when u get better!

  • Thank you everyone for your prayers and encouragement. Please do not stop now, because this situation requires even more. I've just returned from the podiatrist, where x-rays were taken...there was talk of crutches or a wheelchair...I don't know what to make of it. I don't know what I did to it to end up in such a bad way, but obviously something is very wrong. Please pray. I still have a lot I want to do in my life, and doing it all in a wheelchair is not really an option! (Of course, if it's GOD'S option for me, I'm going to have to take it gladly anyway, but I dunno...I prefer to think that God is on my side in times of trouble, because He has certainly helped me through worse times than this!)

Please pray. Thank you all. God bless you.
  • May the Lord have mercy upon you and grant you healing of body and soul.

    Father Peter
  • Don't lose heart dear brother, God will do what is best for you at the right time. You're in my prayers.if you wish pm me your name and I'll add it to the list I'll place on the altar at the Liturgy today. I hope this quote helps u.

"Before the war begins, seek after your Ally; before you fall ill, seek out your Physician; and before grievous things come upon you, pray, and in the time of your tribulations you will find Him, and He will listen to you."-  St. Isaac the Syrian
  • Dear friend!
    What about your health now?
If you need money for healing write please how people can send it,cos it is very good thing to help each other by all means.
  • Thanks for reminding me about this thread with your response, Smirser.

It turns out I fractured a bone in my foot. It is healing, but very slowly. I don't need money. Just time and a comfortable place to sit for a few more weeks. :)

Thank you very much for your prayers and concern, everybody.
