الصبية العذراء

the chosen and true lady,
الحكيمة المختارة
tisheletϯϣⲉⲗⲉⲧ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Pi-ekhristos:Ⲡⲭ̅ⲥ̅:
the Bride of Christ,
البارة عروس المسيح

++ ThaiⲐⲁⲓ isjenⲓⲥϫⲉⲛ tesmetalou:ⲧⲉⲥⲙⲉⲧⲁ̀ⲗⲟⲩ:
+ This is she who was filled with wisdom,
هذه التى امتلأت من
asmehⲁⲥⲙⲉϩ evolⲉ̀ⲃⲟⲗ khenϧⲉⲛ tisofia:ϯⲥⲟⲫⲓⲁ:
from her childhood,
الحكمة منذ صباها
asmostiⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥϯ ennikosmikon:ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲓⲕⲟⲛ:
she hated the earthly,
فأبغضت العالميات
asmenreⲁⲥⲙⲉⲛⲣⲉ entipartheni-a.ⲛ̀ϯⲡⲁⲣⲑⲉⲛⲓⲁ̀.
and she loved virginity.
وأحبت البتولية.
AsshopiⲀⲥϣⲱⲡⲓ entiarshee:ⲛ̀ϯⲁⲣⲭⲏ:
She became the head,
صارت رئيسة
enlimeenⲛ̀ⲗⲩⲙⲏⲛ enteⲛ̀ⲧⲉ piougai:ⲡⲓⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ:
and a harbor of salvation,
وميناء للخلاص
eemavⲏ̀ⲙⲁⲩ enhmeⲛ̀ϩⲙⲉ emparthenos:ⲙ̀ⲡⲁⲣⲑⲉⲛⲟⲥ:
the mother of forty virgins,
وأما للأربعين عذراء فى
khenϧⲉⲛ pipirghosⲡⲓⲡⲩⲣⲅⲟⲥ etaⲉ̀ⲧⲁ pesiotⲡⲉⲥⲓⲱⲧ kotf.ⲕⲟⲧϥ.
in the tower which her father built.
القصر الذى بناه لها أبوها.

ولما كفر بالمسيح

his loving daughter Demiana,
ردته ابنته

restored his faith,
دميانه التى أحبته

and he received martyrdom.
فنال الشهادة.
EthveⲈⲑⲃⲉ faiⲫⲁⲓ afoworpⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲣⲡ enjeⲛ̀ϫⲉ epouro:ⲡ̀ⲟⲩⲣⲟ:
Because of this the king had sent for her,
من أجل هذا أرسل الملك
afowahsahniⲁϥⲟⲩⲁϩⲥⲁϩⲛⲓ khenϧⲉⲛ neskhisi:ⲛⲉⲥϧⲓⲥⲓ:
and ordered her to be tortured,
أمره بتعذيبها
asshepemkahⲁⲥϣⲉⲡⲙ̀ⲕⲁϩ enoumeeshⲛ̀ⲟⲩⲙⲏϣ ensop:ⲛ̀ⲥⲟⲡ:
she endured repeated sufferings,
فقبلت آلامات عدة
aschiⲁⲥϭⲓ entimetmartiria.ⲛ̀ϯⲙⲉⲧⲙⲁⲣⲧⲩⲣⲓⲁ.
and received martyrdom.
ونالت الشهادة.
++ PiehmeⲠⲓⲉϩⲙⲉ etiouⲉ̅
+ The forty holy virgins, who were with her in the tower, received martyr-dom, all in one day with her.
والأربعون عذراء الذين كانوا معها فى القصر نالوا الشهادة معها فى يوم واحد.
