Hi everyone!

Asomento is a beautiful hymn about the Holy Spirit. We sing this hymn in 4 languages at our church, English, Arabic, Coptic & Greek. I find that really fascinating since it was the Holy Spirit that enabled the apostles to preach the Word of God and each person understood in their own language. I think it would be even more interesting to sing it in even more languages.

So since we as Copts are in so many different countries, I assume this hymn is sung in French, Italian, German, Spanish.. etc.

So can people from other countries please post up the lyrics of this hymn in their language? I am actually specifically after the Italian version at the moment but thought others can benefit from the other languages as well.

If you have a recording of it as well send the link :)

Thanks heaps guys!
God Bless & Please Pray 4 Me

UPDATE:

Here's what I have found so far:
Spanish

So I was praying Tasbeha last night and just wanted to know the name of this hymn we sang. It is after the 4th Hoos I'm pretty sure (near Shere Ne Maria) but I have no idea where to find it online it starts of with "anon" and it holds that very long going up and down in the tune, I'm sorry I'm not more clear I just don't know how to describe this in text.

It's also about 2 paragraphs long before we switch to the normal tune again. It's just a short part of Tasbeha.

edit: Ok so the first one starts of with a long Anon, then the second paragraph starts off with the same tune as Anon..I'm not sure but maybe the word was cemoti.

For example, for the Feast of the Apostles, we'd say the "Shere peniot..." verse, and then what? Right into "Hina entenhoos"? Or what? Thanks!

I think Cantor Ibrahim is basing the arabic on the coptic asbasmos & that's why he doesn't go high on the wa sherobim.
