أنتَ يا سيدي حَوَّلتَ لي العُقوبةَ خلاصاً.

As a good shepherd, You have sought after that which had gone astray.

كَراعٍ صالحٍ سَعَيْتَ في طَلَبِ الضالِ.

As a true father, you have labored with me, I who had fallen.

كأبٍ حقيقيٍ تَعِبْتَ معي أنا الذي سَقطَ.

You have bound me with all the remedies that lead to life.

Akmort qen nivaqri tyrou et[i `eqoun `e`pwnq.

ربَّطتني بكلِّ الأدوِيةِ المؤدِّيةِ إلى الحياةِ.

You are He who have sent to me the prophets for my sake, I the sick.

أنتَ الذي أرسَلتَ لي الأنبياءَ من أجلي أنا المريضَ.

You have given me the Law as a help.

أعطَيتَني الناموسَ عَوْناً.

You are He who ministered salvation to me when I disobeyed Your Law.

أنتَ الذي خَدَمْتَ لي الخلاصَ لما خالَفتُ ناموسَكَ.

As true light, You have shone upon the lost and the ignorant.
