What will it profit a man,
اذا ربح الإنسان
jemheeouϫⲉⲙϩⲏⲟⲩ empikosmosⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ teerf:ⲧⲏⲣϥ:
if he gains the whole world,
العالم كله
entefti-osiⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥϯⲟ̀ⲥⲓ entefpsishee:ⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲯⲩⲭⲏ:
and loses his soul,
وخسر نفسه
ouⲟⲩ peⲡⲉ paiⲡⲁⲓ onkhⲱⲛϧ ene-efleeou.ⲛ̀ⲉ̀ⲫ̀ⲗⲏⲟⲩ.
this would be the life of vanity
فما هي هذه الحياة الباطلة.

+ The saint Abba Mina,
القديس أبا مينا
afsotemⲁϥⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ensaⲛ̀ⲥⲁ tismeeϯⲥⲙⲏ ennouti:ⲛ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ:
heard the Divine voice,
سمع الصوت الالهي
afkoⲁϥⲭⲱ empikosmosⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ teerfⲧⲏⲣϥ ensof:ⲛ̀ⲥⲱϥ:
and has forsaken the whole world,
وترك عنه العالم كله
nemⲛⲉⲙ pefoouⲡⲉϥⲱ̀ⲟⲩ ethnatako.ⲉⲑⲛⲁⲧⲁⲕⲟ.
and its corrupt glory.
ومجده الفاسد.
AftiⲀϥϯ entefpsisheeⲛ̀ⲧⲉϥⲯⲩⲭⲏ efmou:ⲉ̀ⲫⲙⲟⲩ:
He gave his soul unto death,
وبذل نفسه للموت
nemⲛⲉⲙ pefsomaⲡⲉϥⲥⲱⲙⲁ epi-ekrom:ⲉ̀ⲡⲓⲭ̀ⲣⲱⲙ:
and his flesh to the fire,
وجسده للنار
afshepⲁϥϣⲉⲡ hannishtiϩⲁⲛⲛⲓϣϯ emvasanos:ⲙ̀ⲃⲁⲥⲁⲛⲟⲥ:
and received great sufferings,
وقبل عذابات عظيمة
ethveⲉⲑⲃⲉ EpsheeriⲠ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ emefnoutiⲙ̀Ⲫϯ etonkh.ⲉⲧⲟⲛϧ.
for the Son of the Living God.
لأجل ابن الله الحي.
++ EthveⲈⲑⲃⲉ faiⲫⲁⲓ apensoteer:ⲁ̀ⲡⲉⲛⲤⲱⲧⲏⲣ:
+ Therefore our Savior,
فلهذا رفعه
olfⲟⲗϥ ekhounⲉ̀ϧⲟⲩⲛ etefmetouro:ⲉ̀ⲧⲉϥⲙⲉⲧⲟⲩⲣⲟ:
lifted him to His kingdom,
مخلصنا إلي ملكوته
aftinafⲁϥϯⲛⲁϥ enni-aghathon:ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲁ̀ⲅⲁⲑⲟⲛ:
and granted him the good things,
وأعطاه الخيرات
enee-eteⲛ̀ⲏⲉ̀ⲧⲉ empevalⲙ̀ⲡⲉⲃⲁⲗ navⲛⲁⲩ eroou.ⲉ̀ⲣⲱⲟⲩ.
which an eye has not seen.
التي لم ترها عين.
ShereⲬⲉⲣⲉ nakⲛⲁⲕ oⲱ̀ pimartiros:ⲡⲓⲙⲁⲣⲧⲩⲣⲟⲥ:
Hail to you O martyr,
السلام لك أيها الشهيد.

Hail to the courageous hero,
السلام للشجاع البطل.
