I've already written something before on this forum, but since i'm still very new ;) I'd better introduce myself properly before i continue.
I am Dutch, baptised a couple of weeks ago, after attending church for a few years with my Coptic Orthodox boyfriend. I was raised in protestant church, but I didn't attend this church anymore because I didn't agree with some things, and to be honest, also because I was a difficult adolescent.
My boyfriend brought me to orthodox church and I felt like coming home. I began to love church, and to love Jesus, my Saviour. After a few years (about 3 years) of learning about orthodox faith, I wanted to be baptised, so I could be a part of orthodox church, and part of the Body of Christ. Also, my boyfriend and I wanted to marry in church, to receive God's blessings on our marriage, before moving on with our life.
Last week we are married.
I'm very thankfull for God, that He let me meet a wonderful Coptic man, if I hadn't met him, maybe I would have never gone to church again, maybe I would have never known about Coptic Orthodox church. I'm thankfull for God, for the way He leads my path, He didn't forget about me, when I forgot about Him! In fact, He led me home. So praise the Lord for His goodness!
I hope to learn more about orthodox church here, and i'm looking forward to speaking with Copts from all over the world.
Glory to God in all eternity, God bless you all
