I've heard this word several times, I just never had anybody interpret for me?? Is it possible for anybody possibly that knows the definition of this word, define it for me?? Please and thank you!

    The term diocese simply means district or division. For example,the Coptic diocese of California means the Coptic parish/district of California under the authority of a Bishop assigned for that area.

    The term Diaspora referred to the jews who were scattered all over the world after their explusion from their homeland centuries ago.As a result of it, today  the word refers to people who have founded communities outside their original homeland.For example, the Egyptian Coptics in Europe ,the US,Canada and Austraila are known as Coptic diasporans who have introduced both the Coptic faith and culture to the outiside world.

    Maybe someone could offer a better explanation than myself.
