  • Psalm 50(or 51 depending on which translation you have):
    Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your loving-kindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions and wash me thorougly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. For i acknowledge my transgressions and my sin is ever before me. Against you, You only, have I sinned and done this evil in Your sight-that you may be found just when you speak and blameless when you Judge. Behold i was brought forth in iniquity and in sin my mother concieved me. Behold you desire truth in the inward parts and in the hidden part you will make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop and i shall be clean; wash me and i shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which you have broken may rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and Blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart O' God and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence and do not take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with your generous spirit. Then i will teach transgressors your way and sinners shall be converted to you. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness O God the God of my salvation and my tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness. O Lord open my lips and my mouth shall show forth your praise for you do not desire sacrifice or else i would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart. These O God you will not despise. Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem. Then you shall be pleased with the sacrifices of Righteousness with burnt offering and whole burnt offering than they shall offer bulls on Your Altar. Allelulia

    I also love Psalm 118(117) as well as 129(128)
  • psalm 119.... its really long and it has like nice short and simple verse that you can meditate on for days, years, millenniums.
  • psalm 90, it protects from temptations right away. Try it.
  • My favourite Psalm is Psalm 1. It really applies to us and how we shouldn't be like the others. It helps me a lot not to mix with the wrong people who might influence me at this age.

    1 Blessed is the man
            Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
            Nor stands in the path of sinners,
            Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
    2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
            And in His law he meditates day and night.
    3 He shall be like a tree
            Planted by the rivers of water,
            That brings forth its fruit in its season,
            Whose leaf also shall not wither;
            And whatever he does shall prosper.

    4 The ungodly are not so,
            But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
    5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
            Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

    6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
            But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

  • my fave psalm has got to be psalm 27:

    Psalm 27
    A Psalm of David.
    1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;
            Whom shall I fear?
            The LORD is the strength of my life;
            Of whom shall I be afraid?
    2 When the wicked came against me
            To eat up my flesh,
            My enemies and foes,
            They stumbled and fell.
    3 Though an army may encamp against me,
            My heart shall not fear;
            Though war may rise against me,
            In this I will be confident.

    4 One thing I have desired of the LORD,
            That will I seek:
            That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
            All the days of my life,
            To behold the beauty of the LORD,
            And to inquire in His temple.
    5 For in the time of trouble
            He shall hide me in His pavilion;
            In the secret place of His tabernacle
            He shall hide me;
            He shall set me high upon a rock.

    6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
            Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
            I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.

    7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice!
            Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
    8 When You said, “Seek My face,”
            My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”
    9 Do not hide Your face from me;
            Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
            You have been my help;
            Do not leave me nor forsake me,
            O God of my salvation.
    10 When my father and my mother forsake me,
            Then the LORD will take care of me.

    11 Teach me Your way, O LORD,
            And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
    12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries;
            For false witnesses have risen against me,
            And such as breathe out violence.
    13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
            That I would see the goodness of the LORD
            In the land of the living.

    14 Wait on the LORD;
            Be of good courage,
            And He shall strengthen your heart;
            Wait, I say, on the LORD!

    :) it reminds me that the Lord is my strength and salvation

  • Mine is psalm 23 I say it when I ams cared and it works.
  • PSALM 139   :D

    1 O LORD, you have searched me
          and you know me.
    2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
          you perceive my thoughts from afar.

    3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
          you are familiar with all my ways.

    4 Before a word is on my tongue
          you know it completely, O LORD.

    5 You hem me in—behind and before;
          you have laid your hand upon me.

    6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
          too lofty for me to attain.

    7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
          Where can I flee from your presence?

    8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
          if I make my bed in the depths, [a] you are there.

    9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
          if I settle on the far side of the sea,

    10 even there your hand will guide me,
          your right hand will hold me fast.

    11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
          and the light become night around me,"

    12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
          the night will shine like the day,
          for darkness is as light to you.

    13 For you created my inmost being;
          you knit me together in my mother's womb.

    14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
          your works are wonderful,
          I know that full well.

    15 My frame was not hidden from you
          when I was made in the secret place.
          When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

    16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
          All the days ordained for me
          were written in your book
          before one of them came to be.

    17 How precious to [b] me are your thoughts, O God!
          How vast is the sum of them!

    18 Were I to count them,
          they would outnumber the grains of sand.
          When I awake,
          I am still with you.

    19 If only you would slay the wicked, O God!
          Away from me, you bloodthirsty men!

    20 They speak of you with evil intent;
          your adversaries misuse your name.

    21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD,
          and abhor those who rise up against you?

    22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
          I count them my enemies.

    23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
          test me and know my anxious thoughts.

    24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
          and lead me in the way everlasting.
