"And Jesus knowing their thoughts, said to them: Every kingdom divided against itself shall be made desolate: and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand" Mark 12:25

if this verse is true then what does the division of the church really mean (catholic , protestant, etc.) need more clarificaion plz ,, i'm a coptic orthodox youth by the way ???

look at the bolded part above: divided against itself

the kingdom is divided put not against itself and our King is still Jesus Christ.
• The Church is not divided. There are those who have left the Church - Catholics, Protestants, etc. - but the Church by definition is undivided.
• Indeed, the Church is not divided. As St. Irenaeus wrote in Adversus Haereses  III, 24:

Wherever the Church is, God's Spirit is too; and wherever God's Spirit is, there is the Church and every grace; for the Spirit is Truth.

In Christ,

Anglian
