Mass with a Bishop

edited December 1969 in Random Issues
Hey guys,

Does anyone have any documents to what we say when a bishop is in a mass, like dont we add on a little bit on the, "pray that god have mercy and compassion upon us" part, does anyone know what have to add on, and also other things that we might have to say later on in the mass.

    Hey guys,

Does anyone have any documents to what we say when a bishop is in a mass, like dont we add on a little bit on the, "pray that god have mercy and compassion upon us" part, does anyone know what have to add on, and also other things that we might have to say later on in the mass.

if the bishop is present from the beginning of Matins, u add the following:

+ "Pray that God..." (extra part)
+ The verses of cymbals of the fathers
+ The Doxology of the Pope and the added part of the bishop
+ Maro-chasf in in coptic and ar/en after the psalm is read.
+ The extra part for the bishop if the short litanies are said
    + Akitchi

Now most of the time bishops come from the beginning of the offertory. when he enters u say ekismaro-ot...or if u were waiting for him on the door with  the cross u say ep-oro.
    Than th follwing is added:

+ Yes Pater the great extra part (if said - very rare)
+ "Pray that God..." (extra part, also if said in the great way)
    + Nisaviv
    + Hetini
+ Extra part in apitjeek evol (if said)
+ Praxis response (i think there is one for a bishop...not sure)
+ Maro-chasf in in coptic and ar/en after the psalm is read.
+ The extra part for the bishop if the long litanies are said
+ Extra part in Aspasmos Adam - if said
+ The extra part for the bishop if the 7 short litanies are said
    + Akitchi

++ now in communion u can some of the many papal hymns that we have.
