Yes, these are my recordings of myself, so forgive the poorness of the voice; my aim was only to give examples of english renditions of popular Great Lent hymns.

I have done these recordings on my own PC and of my own accord, so no they won't be on any CD. I simply offer them for download if anyone wants to imitate my english rendition for their own service at Church (unless they have a better rendition themselves).

well i can assure i can offer no better rendition!!

but can one suggest or request a hymn for you to sing for us? like for example in sunday school the kids are learning our father in english - would u sing that?

  thanks!

I'm not sure which Great Lent hymn you are referring to exactly. Are you referring to the Gospel Response which I have already recorded and linked to in my first post?

I have started my own project of attempting to record most of the Great Lent Hymns in English. I will update the thread regularly with new files as I find the time to record them on my PC.

The first file I have to offer is the fast version of the Gospel Response - 'Je Penyot' or 'Our Father':

Iqbal, since you're recording the Lent English Hymns, why not record the communion melodies as an answer for this post, http://tasbeha.org/content/community/index.php?topic=5026.0.
It would be great since no one have them recorded, atleast not for the public.

I just recorded the communion hymn for the Second Sunday of the Great Lent (Temptation Sunday):
