Popes

Does the eithopian, syrian, or our sisters have their own "popes".. i heard about zacha ewass and antionus the first but i dont no if they are "popes" or not??

    Hello Mina,

    The Eritrean Church has their own Pope, but as far as I know, they call him Abouna Antonous.

    The Syrian Orthodox Church, use the title Patriarch. Their Patriarch is H.H. Mar Ignatuis Zakka I, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East.

    The Armanian Orthodox Church use the title Catholicos,. Their’s is H.H. Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cicilia of the Armanian Orthodox Church.

    MarMar, I'm pretty sure they don't say that in the Liturgy of St. Basil!
