Questions about St. Mark the Evangelist
Hey guys, I have some questions and I need help:
What did St. Mark do to end idolatry (worshipping idols) and Greek teachings in Alexandria??
How were parts of St. Mark's body returned to Egypt?? How long was his body away from Egypt??
Where was his body in the meantime??
St. Paul held two thoughts about the Apostle, St. Mark, what were they??
What was the miracle that proved that it is the body of St. Mark in Alexandria??
What is the story behind the money paid annualy to St. Mark Cathedral in Alexandria by the state? Why is it paid??

well, for ur first question defender, the way St. Mark ended idolatry (worshipping idols) and Greek teachings in Alexandria was by having many people started believing in Jesus Christ mostly becuase of the miracles St.Mark did in Alexandira.
For the second question, i believe, but not really postive, that St.Mark's relics were taken to the Byzanitne empire and they were just returned to us during the papcy of H.H. Pope Kyrillios the III. the video clip of that is available on the site under media, under videos (sorry, couldn't get the link).
"St. Paul held two thoughts about the Apostle, St. Mark, what were they??" I only know of one that was when St.Paul and St. Barnabas couldn't agree on who to take with them when continuing their journy and where to go. St.Paul didnt want to take St.Mark. sorry dont remember y.

he went again with Anba Daniel of Sydney,last year, and he bought heaps and heaps of movies...(lol...wen he was with His Grace, buying stuff...lol)
but he didnt get tym to get other things....he had to be with Anba Danial for the whole tym coz no one else was in japan with them except the egyptian guy that lives there. :P
