Where can I learn Coptic iconography

I am an artist and I have always been interested in iconography but it is different from what used to. I do portraits and watercolor art but I wanted to know where I could take courses on COPTIC iconography so I could learn how to paint an icon. Thanks. Btw I live in Dallas Tx so somewhere in this region would be good

    This is old but if anybody else is wondering, the best way to learn to paint icons or coptic icons is to study by reading, look at many icons, take a course in making any kind of icons, and contact someone who makes coptic icons - ask questions about tips and how they learned, and about what you need to know about material, tools, technique and symbolism. Sometimes it can be possible to become an apprentice
