  • 9 Orbanas (1 lb. Hamal):

    Ingredients:
8 cups of water (put two tablespoons of yeast in there and mix)
    22 cups of flour

Mix. Knead Dough.  Put in oven for about 15-20 on 450 degrees (might need to constantly repoke the holes in the orban so that it doesn't crack)
  • ^ isnt there yeast in it?
  • He said add yeast in the recipe..
  • well the way my dad makes it is:

    1. put a packet of yeast in a mug, then mix it with 8 ounces of water and leave it for 25 minutes
    2. then 56 ounces of flour and put it in the mixer along with 14 ounces of water and mix it on low until the flour's texture doesn't stick to your fingers(also add the yeast/water mixture while u are mixing the flower.)
    3. Kneed the dough well.
    4. Make them into circular shapes obviously
    5. Put the stamp in the middle of each orban
6.then put it in the oven for i forget how long on 450 degrees(Farenheit)

wow......my dad and most of the other people in my church do it differntly.....

when do you leave the dough for the yeast to make it take it's shape?!
  • Well, he makes it circular with his hands, but it takes 25 minutes for the yeast to activate
