Hey guys i was wondering

Hekal in arabic does that mean Temple or Sanctuary in english? Just wanna know
i know masbah is the altar so yeah lol

Comments

  • i always thought it means the altar
  • the word mazbah means the place on which the sacrifice is made.. which is the table of the alter.  the hekal is the "area" where the mazbah is located.. in our church the hekal is separated from the congregation by the "iconostasis" which is the wood that we consider to be "the gate of heaven". So the hekal is the place where the mazbah is located.

Hope this clears everything up, sorry if i confused u more  ;D
God bless and please pray for me and my weakness
