"holy" things

hey guys,
i was just cleaning (yes, yes, i know, its a miracle! lol) and i was wodering whether it was okay to throw away "holy things" such as an old sunday school notebook, papers that have prayers or what-not on them, etc.

Wat I've seen ppls do is burn them, so u wont be "throwing" it in the trash, but I duno if that's correct or not
