Although it is the third Sunday of the Holy Glorious Feast, yet the Church celebrates the Feast of the Holy Cross. The Reading of the third Sunday would have been the Gospel of the Prodigal Son, yet the Feast of the Cross is a Lord’s Feast which takes priority over any other day.
