    Down the Via

Down the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem that day
The Soldiers tried to clear the narrow street
But the crowd pressed in to see
The Man condemned to die on Calvary

He was bleeding from a beating
There were stripes upon His back
And He wore a crown of thorns
    Upon His head

And he bore with every step
    The scorn of those who
    Cried out for His death!

    Down the Via Dolorosa
    Called the Way of Suffering
Like a Lamb came The Messiah
    Christ the King!

But He chose to walk that road
Out of His love for you and me
    Down the Via Dolorosa
    All the way to Calvary

    The Blood that would cleanse
    The souls of all men
Made its way through the heart
    Of Jerusalem!

  • Thank you so much PrincessMary, can you please tell me what the 2 and 3 mean in arabic, I always forget, please and thank you! I deeply appreciate it, thank you for that, May God bless you all! This one will work out, thank you!

  • u r welcome :)
oh im so sorry i forgot to tell u, im not sure if u know arabic so well
    but
2 is the arabic letter "hamza" sounds like "aa-" like an "a" that is cut off, which is for example in the words
    nalga2, malga2 (shelter), hana2, ka2id (leader)

the 3 is for the arabic letter "ein" which is in words like 3eysh (bread), 3arabeya (car), 3agala (bike), 3asfoora (bird)

theres also other numbers used but i didnt use them cause it would only confuse u even more, like 7= arabic letter "hah" which is like how they have 2 different h's, and
7'= the arabic letter "khah" like in kharoof (sheep), khamsa (five)
3'= arabic letter "gheen" like in ghareeb (strange), ghalat (wrong), ghafar (forgave)

    hope this makes any sense
  • Thank you so much, I speak, and know arabic well, but can't write it well, thank you again PrincessMary!
